Tips on calling out?

I’ve been feeling really sick and it’s 2am (I have a 6am shift later) but for some reason I feel really bad about calling out. I’ve been throwing up and I don’t even know when to call. When do managers even come in? I’ve only been working here for 2 months and I rarely call out when it comes to my jobs. I’m also usually on register so I feel guilty cuz nobody will be there to help set up 🤧

But yeah….will I need a doctors note?

Cyclospora outbreak influencing schedule?

So I’ve been working here for over a month and I’m just wondering why tf my hours have been so bad. Like omg before it was like 12 hours a week when I was training and now it’s been like 16 hours a week. Which is basically all worked on Saturday and Sunday. I want to pick up more shifts but they’re literally declining it. And to top it all off I was supposed to work sun-mon next week but they removed my Monday and just like the last 3 weeks I’m only working sat and Sunday.. now it’s just like damn it’s the last couple of weeks of my summer break and like this was supposed to be the summer where I got my savings a little higher but idk if that’s even possible now with these awful hours. Now they did say that they were cutting back hours cause of the outbreak but damn if that’s the case why do they keep interviewing and hiring all these new people???

Do we get to keep cash tips?

So far I’ve kept like $4 worth of cash tips that customers have given me. The first time I got a cash tip while training I asked the manager where to put it and he said to keep it that it’s mine. And today I’m working by myself and I received a couple dollars and I kept it. Do you guys usually keep yours? I remember at the very beginning there was a tip cup

How long is training omg 😭

So I’ve been working here for a little over a month, I’ve trained at sandwiches, salads, register and barista and dinging room. My manager says he wants me to be on register more than the line. I’m just wondering how long is training typically because I want to be able to pick up shifts and earn tips 🤧🤧

Tips for register?

Tomorrow I’ll be working at the register with one of the managers. Any tips or things to remember because I did already train twice at it but I’m still nervous because I want to be working on the register mainly instead of the line.

Tips for teens wanting to move out

So as of right now I’m just 1 one more year from being of legal age. I live in a toxic and abusive household that I can’t stand living in much longer. At my old job I managed to save up 2k and now I have this new job where I’m making a little more money. I do plan on moving out with somebody else however I also don’t know if I should get a car first than move out or move out than get a car. I also don’t want to rush the person that I’m moving out with. Anyways do you guys have any tips on what I should do to prepare for this since I have all the time in the world????
