I barely ever visit this particular store just because I don’t like the vibes. It’s not a friendly place, kinda musty, over priced usually for anything thats worth it… but every once in a while I’ll go and score big.
They have a wall along the back that’s probably about 10 foot tall, 20 feet long, and filled top to bottom, front to back with unpriced records you can go through and bring them up and the guy will eyeball it and price it on the spot.
They’ll usually price out the in demand stuff or the good known stuff but the esoteric bullshit is where I live and breathe so I’ve done well on that wall because it’s usually got crap mixed in with esoteric gems they don’t recognize. Last time I snagged a copy of Ian Dury & The Blockhead’s second album and a pretty sick compilation of underground new wave and rock snuck out of the USSR for $8 total.
This time I found this little gem, Goblin’s Greatest Hits. If you don’t know who Goblin is, they did the music for a bunch of soundtracks for giallo Italian horror movies like Profondo Russo and Suspiria and the re-scored Italian release of Dawn of the Dead. The guy eyeballed it and said $5. Sold!
The jacket was wet at some point but no mold and just wavey, no damage to the art and the vinyl was wet too at some point but no sound degradation. Sounds crisp but I did need to give it a good clean before I listened to it.
Although, with this debate… PF Jung gets clobbered by the simplest rebuttals and questions and it eventually devolves into PF Jung finally just saying we shouldn’t really dissuade racism as a society and whatever negatives Fuentes drives up is worth it because he’s speaking out against the greatest evil that ever lived ever, Israel.
I say post your favorites to your favorite liberals who love Hasan quotes
Context is Conduit was pointing out how the sum of Kyle and Krystals political output increases anti-semitism and they appear to be implicitly anti-semitic themselves with the way they frame and view issues. That foundation was used to being a conversation on how, if a creator has these abhorrent views or feeds these views, how should they be interacted with. Conduit’s position is it should never be a collaborative approach and if you do interact with them, it should be on adversarial grounds. Earlier in the conversation he was saying these people should be put in a box and we should be saying, “everything that is outside of this box is what we are.”

Shitpost tag but I’m serious.
If Dem leadership had balls, they would go in front of cameras right now and say “Mr President, sir, we 100% believe you, a lot of people are saying they believe you. We should start with our most current election, lots of people believe it had issues, just like you said, and they love you for saying that, sir. We need to investigate that election now, right now, and pause any and all new government business and reverse everything done so far until those who RIGHTFULLY WON can be determined put in charge and those who frauded their way into office are removed and maybe arrested for treason. It’s a monumental task, sir, and the Democratic Party is fully willing to start investigating this minute!”
Hell yeah!
Decided to swing by an antique store I haven’t been to in a while that has vinyl. Never dug through their 45s because 45s just aren’t my thing but there weren’t any albums I haven’t already passed over so I decided to see if there were any fun singles and lo and behold, found this bad boy for two bucks!
Strawberry Jam - Animal Collective: my introduction to Animal Collective back in the day when it came out and I’ve been a ravenous fan since… but only started grabbing them on vinyl relatively recently. There’s something about their chaotic soundscapes that just grab me.
Killed By Death #2 - Comp: Grabbed this while on vacation in the UK. It’s an unofficial repress of the original but it was only 5 pound so why not? Plus, I thought it was funny to be a tourist and pick up an album with a track named “I Hate Tourists” on it. I try to grab punk compilations whenever I come across them. Last time I was in the UK over a decade ago, I stumbled across “The Streets” late 70s punk comp and it became one of my most spun.
Box of Sin - Comp: 4 LP box of 80s gay club electronica disco that’s pretty tight and bumps… leather cleaner was sold separately.
Breakin Soundtrack: only a buck at a 4th of July flea market. I couldn’t pass it up and I’ve been meaning to dust off my pop n’ lockin skillz and Zubaz pants anyway.
LCD Soundsystem: Just speaks for itself. Probably one of the best bands of this century, absolute perfect album to me. I don’t know why I never grabbed this sooner but I saw it in the new bin at a local shop and snatched it.

The story of the event AJW is talking about (he says she was “beaten to death,” she was suffocated): https://people.com/cause-of-death-revealed-american-mom-found-slain-ireland-12016247
Basically, her crime to AJW was dating an Arab man and posting about their relationship online positively… that’s what earned her a thumbnail with fireworks, being called an “open borders activist,” and the “she wanted Aladdin, She got Al Qaeda!” I wonder how long he debated putting a crying laughing emoji after it.
We always do a little Christmas in July because opening presents is fun, so why not? My spouse got me this (he snooped in my eBay watch list) because he knows I’m a big Floyd fan.
It’s a 3 LP set of the entire show (about 2 hours give or take). Its a boot I’ve heard before but never owned on vinyl. The original boot set release was in the mid or late 80s called “… And The Walls Came Down.” There was a 3 LP set like this one and a 2 LP set that cut off after Comfortably Numb. Super hard to find (been on the hunt for years) but I came across this release from either this year or the last (always kinda hard to tell with boots) that’s a repress of that specific Uniondale show I wanted (the February 28th night specifically, there’s boots of the other nights out there but I enjoy this one most).
Quality wise, it’s an audience recording but solid (definitely used a professional grade recorder instead of a consumer grade one like the boot of the Beatles playing at the Star Club was for anyone that’s heard that). With any boot, you can expect the lower end to be a little thin, which is it (and is in all the versions I’ve heard) but still bassy where it needs to be. Actually sounds like this version was cleaned up a bit from other versions I’ve heard. There’s also slight surface noise on this press but nothing that distracts and there’s not many quiet parts where it really comes through anyway except Mother. I mean, it’s a live boot… you’ll never get a live boot that isn’t noisy in my experience. Thats just the game. Overall though, really really pleased. Already on my second spin through.
I don’t know how the media was both breaking Platners biggest scandals consistently and also protecting Platner somehow. Like, how does he think the Platner stories happened?
10/17/25 - CNN breaks the Reddit post story
10/21/25 - Maine Monitor breaks the tattoo
5/30/26 - WSJ breaks the Kik story
6/6/26 - NYT breaks the DV story
7/6/26 - Politico breaks the rape story
My lizard brain absolutely loves these tweets. My rational brain is against these tweets.
In the grand scheme of the country, we haven’t had primaries like we do now that long. Really only after the debacle of the 1968 Democratic National Convention (where some hippie skull cracking happened care of the Chicago police) that all states held the types of primaries we have now to keep the peace within the coalition (the GOP didn’t start their modern primaries until after 1972). The stated intention was to dilute decisions for which candidates were nominated from party leaders and prioritize rank and file party member selection. Primary elections did happen before that time but they were sparse and not really intended to get the rank and file involved. The first primaries were in the 1890s and typically used as a way to select candidates without the black vote having a say (the parties themselves, not the government, held the whites only primary elections so them excluding black voters didn’t run afoul of the Constitution until that was challenged in 1944 and declared unconstitutional).
Even when Democrats started the modern primary model in 1972, most primaries were still conventions and caucuses (meaning only members present or invited could vote). We are one of the few countries that hold primaries in the way that we do (most candidates around the democratic world are selected by the parties themselves).
I want to say I hate primaries because I think it’s clear that the last 6 primary cycles have resulted in historic party division, historically extreme candidates, and apathetic voters not taking it seriously… but I also want to say I agree with the original intent of primaries to give more voice to rank and file members.
What do you guys think?
Adam claims they never talk about Destiny… I went to Filmot to verify that.
Since the beginning of the year, they’ve mentioned Destiny in 18 shows, often just to quickly snark him, out of 33 shows (so 54% of the time they’re streaming, they’re bringing up Destiny), including one show just about Destiny’s Blaire White debate (which they think Blaire White mopped the floor with him).
A small sampling of these mentions include calling him “Sex-pestinty”:
Sitch - “as much as I don't like Destiny, okay? You know, Sex-pestiny, right? Yeah Ep-stiny a person of very low moral character, right?” - April 6th stream at 39:30
They include disgusting comments on recent drama:
Adam - “All right Is Lauren Southern somewhere masturbating to Destiny right now? Oh god, please tell me no.” - May 25th stream at 5:13:10
And misrepresenting or lying about Destiny’s positions:
Adam - “Destiny was being crazy and telling everyone right-wingers need to die viciously” - January 14th stream at 3:30:45
All while they claim Destiny lies about them constantly (would love an example of that because 100% of Destiny’s very sparse commentary on them, maybe two videos in his entire career, is attacking their positions).
It’s very clear they never got over Destiny forcing them to walk a claim back (that the NYT was bias in their Trump New York case coverage) when he asked them for one example (which they could not provide).
It’s a fun video but to save time… it’s a shitty diet, he ended up going from normal cholesterol range to dangerously high cholesterol and his doctor basically freaking out at how much his cholesterol jumped and how dangerous that is.
What I found interesting is how socially self isolating such a restrictive diet is and how walled off from his immediate friends and family he felt.
It’s no secret how social we are about eating with restaurants dotting the landscape, BBQs and cookouts being a common social function, family dinners, holidays revolving around feasts, etc etc, and it’s been like that for as far back as we have records. Cults often will use food as a means to break down people to get them to be more submissive, more dependent, and more isolated.
There’s groups like Scientology where restrictive diets are used as part of a punishment and to break down someone psychologically, like serving a cult member who broke rules only rice and beans for months in their Rehabilitation Project Force camps. Although that diet is typically used in conjunction with sleep deprivation and physical abuse.
Then there’s the extreme cases like with “breatharian” cults where they use extremely restrictive vegan diets to get to a point where they believe they don’t have to eat physical food at all, they can replenish their body’s energy by just breathing and they won’t get sick anymore because it’s actually eating anything at all that makes you sick. Those types of cults more based around exclusively food and food intake as the central tenant of the cult rather than something like Scientology where food is used as a method of control for other pillars of belief.
Watching Eddy go through the carnivore diet and read literature about it and read social media about it and watch propaganda about it… I fully believe that carnivore diet is like a breatharian type cult.
