How to beat Japan as MinGan?

So I’m currently in December 1939 fighting Japan and Fengtian as the Kuomintang with the united front. They’ve made no ground, have lost 10x more soldiers and are basically just throwing bodies at me to no avail, but there’s absolutely zero chance I can make any breakthrough either it’s just a complete stalemate instead I’m letting them take the losses not me. What do I do now? Just stick it out? I know they’ll go to war with Germany eventually but I’m not really sure that does much to help me I don’t really know where to go now. I am building towards some tank divisions right now to maybe help with breakthrough at a later date but apart from that I’m clueless. Any advice appreciated.

[Acne] Do bacterial infections cause bad acne?

I’ve been ill for about a month with a bad cough and clogged up throat and nose, I eventually gave up on it just getting better so I saw a doctor and she said due to the length of illness she thinks it’s a bacterial issues, likely bacterial bronchitis or a mild pneumonia which surprised me a bit as I’m not that ill but she said that at my age, 19, and if you’re relatively healthy pneumonia isn’t such a significant thing. Anyways during the last couple weeks of being ill my acne has been getting progressively worse, I’ve mitigated it a bit through bettering my diet and I’ve not been going out drinking etc but I still general get one or two new small whiteheads on my face each morning and I’ve always had a bit of acne under my hair but the back of my head under my hair is red sore with how many spots have cropped up there at the moment. I can’t really think what else would’ve triggered this other than my illness, maybe due to the length of the illness my immune system is weak so acne is getting worse? It has something to do with the nature of the illness? I’d like to know if anyone has had a similar experience with this sort of thing because it’s a bit disheartening to be ill and have my acne getting worse. Thanks in advance for any advice I can get.

This game is giving me the creeps.

First of all I want to say that it’s a good thing the game gives me the creeps, makes it fun and interesting, but holy shit it’s unsettling at times. I’ve always had this particular dislike and weird feeling around the idea of unnatural modification of humans in anyway, like the idea of cybernetic brain implants etc. idea always creeped me out, designer babies as well actually anything along those lines. So in the first mission in cyber city where there’s a lot of text logs in the apartment you fight your way through, the reading was proper creepy to me, talking about the adverse effects of brain implants and pain modifiers etc. The world building is very very good for this game.

Why is Marcus Agrippa rarely discussed amongst the greates generals of all time?

As I often have to state when asking these sort of questions, I’m not saying for a fact that Marcus Agrippa should be discussed as one of the greatest generals of all time but that from my limited knowledge it seems like he should be and it’d be great to hear the opinions of those more educated than me on the topic. From what I know of Marcus Agrippa he seems to be one of the most revolutionary generals of his time of any general I have a base of knowledge about.

He very consistently conducted several, complex simultaneous military and naval operations at once, for example in the Illyricum campaign, the war with Sextus Pompeius and the invasion of Egypt, without fault. Compared to other generals of the time this seems pretty much unheard of. He understood the massive importance of logistics which, when looking at Actium where he managed to force an experienced and accomplished Antony from a good strategic position to forcing him to fight a battle he had no chance of winning, was again largely unheard of and hugely impressive for the time.

When learning about him just after learning about Caesar I always thought that despite Caesar’s admittedly more impressive record, they seemed to be equals as far as how impressive they were as Generals. Is there any merit to my argument or are there good arguments against? Again feel free to shoot down my argument I’m very interested in hearing more learned opinions.

Does Light feel bad about what he did at the end?

First of all this is discussing the ending of the anime not the manga. I think it’s quite clear at the end of the finale that Light regrets not just living a regular life given how much potential he had to have a great life before throwing it all away to become Kira. However, I don’t think it’s clear whether he feels bad about his actions since becoming Kira. There’s clearly regret about what he’s done, but I think more because of the effect it had on his life a lot more than any actual remorse towards how his actions affected others, that just seems unlikely and also it doesn’t appear to be portrayed that way. Interested to see how people interpreted his ending in the anime, I mean maybe some people never interpreted the ending as not having any regret and that the callbacks are just to show the audience what his life could’ve been like had he not become Kira. I think it’s a very interesting ending.

I think the fact that people are so certain of L being more intelligent than Light is odd.

First of all to state, I’m not saying Light is more intelligent either, more that I just think they are of near equal intelligence and that at the least it’s uncertain if L is more intelligent. The classic thing everyone always says is ‘L had to prove gods exist in a court of law and Light had to find out a name’ and as much as I do agree L had the more difficult task of the two of them, how does that make him more intelligent? If you ask me to try prove string theory and a genius to do basic addition, it doesn’t make me smarter, I just never quite got that point. Additionally, at some point in the Yotsuba arc I seem to remember L literally saying he thought Light could be his successor and admitting Light had figured a lot of things out in a quicker fashion than he did/could’ve. Throughout the series I never really got the impression that L was smarter than Light at all, and the only part of the series that L clearly gets the better of him in is the very beginning, before Light knows who he’s dealing with and is therefore a bit careless, not really decisive in saying L is more intelligent. Anyways I’d like to hear if people agree with me at all or if I’ll just get tar and feathered for this opinion which seems more likely.

Separatists Revolts

Every single time I conquer some territory every single breathing organism there decides to join a separatist revolt, it’s not even that they’re particularly difficult to tackle but holy fuck it’s such a drag that there’s so many every time I wanna do some conquest. Is there a way to limit this because I’m losing it a bit. If I’m a medieval peasant I’m staying on the damn farm these people are some ideological crusaders every single time I step foot in their land.

I find it strange that after 10 years of not seeing the person he loved most in his life he would be sort of uninterested in what she had to say and constantly reprimand her. The only conclusion I could think of was that he’s angry over his subconscious telling him that the reality is his wife and daughter don’t care about Red John they just care about him, and that the obsession that’s ruled his life for a decade has realistically always been for his sake. Therefore, his daughter being the vessel of his subconscious telling him that makes him angry at her as he’d just rather move on thinking he was doing right by his family and not have to wonder whether his hunt for Red John was completely self serving, so he’d rather dismiss her. Even so this explanation feels a little incomplete in my mind. Any ideas?
