The “hints” before ep 9 were poorly done with the only decent one being the feminine room, but even that was a clue with easy to come up with multiple interpretations that were equally plausible. They didn’t mention this, but even jax’s purple bunny design, another so called “hint” he is trans, is a design with easy to come up multiple interpretations that were equally plausible. jax and ribbit interacting in these short skit merch videos looks actually fun and interesting - too bad we never see this at all in the show. Ribbit’s voice actor seems great and ribbit seems like she would have been such a cool character if the writing allowed her to be anymore than a plot device. “Digital friends” - more like “jax and friends” from the “jax and friends” show, holy shit the jax favoritism is getting annoying to see.

Yet for some reason, goose wanted to make another character about her gender issues and failed at telling both their stories. Before the smooth brains attack me, this is not transphobia. It’s just redundant af. What was supposed to be six peoples’ stories felt like one person’s story plus 5 side characters, two of which had the same deal (gender dysphoria). The circus should have just had five people if you were going to be redundant like that.
