Recommendations for minor interior/fit-out work in City Walk

Hey everyone,

I’m taking handover of a 2-bedroom apartment in City Walk soon and am looking for reliable, reasonably priced interior decorator/fit-out recommendations.

I do not need a full-scale, breaking-and-recreating renovation. The apartment already has a great base, so I’m just looking for a company or contractor who can handle high-quality cosmetic upgrades and custom carpentry.

Specifically, I need:

Gypsum/Ceiling work: Some clean false ceiling additions for ambient lighting.

Lighting: Installation of spotlights, cove lighting, and feature fixtures.

Living Room: A custom, sleek TV/media wall unit.

Master Bedroom: Accent paneling/feature wall design behind the bed.

Minor details: Mirror placements, maybe a few accent wallpaper/paint sections.

Because it's a premium building, the quality of the finish matters a lot to me, but I also don't want to pay the massive premium that full-service luxury design firms charge just for basic cosmetic work.

Has anyone done a similar "light touch" interior job recently in Dubai and had a great experience with a contractor who is responsive and handles the building management (NOC/approvals) smoothly?

Would appreciate any names, rough timelines you experienced, or contacts. Feel free to DM if you prefer.

Thanks in advance!

How accurate was your Estimated Delivery Date (EDD)? Did your car arrive earlier or later than expected?

Hey everyone,

I literally just placed my order for a Model Y LR yesterday. When I hit buy, the initial estimate said October. But less than 24 hours later, I checked the app and the algorithm already bumped my Estimated deliver date back to November–December 2026. 🙃

I know the app dates are notoriously volatile and tend to jump all over the place, but seeing a 1-2 month delay on day two is a bit of a buzzkill.

For those who have taken delivery recently (especially if you ordered a custom factory build):

How much did your EDD dance around while you were waiting?

Did your final delivery date end up being closer to your day-one estimate, or did it actually stick to the delayed timeline?

Anyone end up getting theirs way earlier than the app predicted because of inventory matching or end-of-quarter pushes?

Would love to hear your experiences so I can figure out if I should actually settle in for a winter delivery or keep checking the app every hour hoping it pulls back forward. Thanks!

EV charging at City Walk

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some insight from owners or tenants currently living in the completed phases of Central Park at City Walk (Celadon, Viridian, Myrtle, etc.).

I’m expecting the handover of my unit in Castleton this August, and I’m holding off on buying an EV until I know exactly how Dubai Holding Community Management (DHCM) / Meraas handles basement charging infrastructure.

I’m trying to avoid a scenario where I buy a Tesla and am stuck fighting for a blocked communal plug or paying AED 65 delivery fees for a mobile charging pod.

Could anyone living there shed some light on the following:

Private Installation (NOC): Does Meraas/DHCM actually issue NOCs for owners to install a private DEWA wall charger in their designated parking spot? If so, does the building have the "EV-ready" pre-wiring to easily connect it to the apartment's meter?

Communal Chargers: For the completed buildings, what does the shared EV setup look like in the basement? How many bays are there, and which vendor operates them (Pulse, DEWA, CITA)?

PlusX Electric Mobile Pods: I saw DHCM partnered with PlusX for mobile charging. Is this just an optional backup, or are they using this as an excuse to avoid installing permanent infrastructure in the basements?

Any insights on the approval process or the day-to-day reality of charging in these specific buildings would be hugely appreciated before I commit to a car. Thanks!
