Cooked on a Napoleon sizzle zone, flipped every minute for a better and more even cook.
Protein: 2 x 400gr striploin from a private farmer. Mix of angus/jersey.
To anyone commenting on marbling - This is literally how a strip-loin is meant to look like. A cow is not meant to have "ribeye levels" of marbling everywhere on their bodies.
Currently driving a Polestar 2 AWD but always been fascinated by the G9's design and have had 2 test drives throughout 1-2 years.
Ended up with the Polestar as my old car (BMW G21 320D from 2020) sold very fast and I panicked. BMW was really good on the adaptive cruise control etc, but since it was an older one lots has happened since then.
It is very important for me that the driver assistent systems WORK and that you can trust them.
So how are the automatic up/down on high beam and adaptive cruise control compared to fx BMW and Mercedes?
Heard a lot of bad things from the past, but I assume they have received big updates since the first generation of G9's came out.
Made this little beauty today on the gas bbq with all greens and berries from our own garden
360 deg crispy pork never gets old
Grill: Napoleon Legend 485
En jomfru
5 x approx 2kg or 4,5 pounds each
Feeding a flock of 40 people tomorrow.
Coated with rub yesterday, pulled at internal temp of approx 203+ degrees. Anything below that I have found to be less tender.
Smoker (Louisiana Founders 1200) was set to 121deg C/250F for the majority of the cook. I absolutely love this grill. It's 5 or 6 years old and looks Almost brand new inside thanks to the stainless steel and double insulated walls. It's very fuel efficient.
Tomorrow I will re-heat and pull the meat. Today it will just rest up, need I say we are excited for tomorrow 😎
Wooden bar made by a close friend of the house 😊
Went on this morning at 0600 at 121 deg C/250F.
In foil pans as it keeps the moisture. I have had some issues with the meat coming out too dry in the past.
Now we play the waiting game. Feeding a party of 30 adults and 10 kids tomorrow. Also doing a few whole chickens on rotisserie and some sausages.
Have a great weekend folks.
Will post results later if anyone is interested.
