vegan hotels/resorts south america/caribbean?

Hi, i'm looking for recommendations for vegan places to stay in south america or the Caribbean for our honeymoon. We are looking for somewhere preferably all inclusive (or half board), and in a decent location for excursions etc.

I have been ding some searching, but can only seem to find super luxury resorts, focussed on wellness and yoga. Whilst this is nice, these kind of places are super expnsive and a little out of our budget! We want somewhere nice, but don't need a 5* experience with all the bells and whistles! We just want somewhere were we can relax and not have to worry or plan our food too much.

my phone is nearing the end of its life

As the title says, my phone is starting to die a slow death. I have an iPhone 14, i've had it maybe 4 years. It's starting to become really slow, not responding to touch etc.

Normally, this wouldn't bother me and i'd just live with it, but I travel a lot as a female on her own, and want a reliable phone.

I don't want the newest flashy thing, i don't care about social media apps and so on, but unfortunately do need a smart phone with iOS11 or Android 5.0 or higher as it needs to be compatible with my medical device.

any suggestions for a phone that is minimalist but meets these requirements?

working from home routines

I am starting my dream job in September. My current job is unbelievably boring, but i work from home and honestly don't really do more than 2-3 hours a week, so have a lot of spare time. As a result, i've become a bit lazy. I need to get back into a good WFH routine with discipline before the new role starts.

At the moment, I spend a lot of time with my work laptop to the side, watching TV or just doing general house chores etc.

I'm very excited to get back to doing something i love, but am a little worried i will find intense work again quite overwhelming. the new job will be a lot more work, both in terms of intensity and amount, but as it's something I love, that's ok. I just want to be as prepared as possible.

I want to start now in getting my discipline back on track, but have fallen into a bit of a rut and days just slip away where i've done nothing.

So i guess i'm asking two things;

  1. what is your work from home routine to stay productive and disciplined?

  2. is there anything i can do now to start getting back into the swing of things so the new job isn't a complete shock to my system?

New to the group!

So glad i found this group. I had KP as a baby, and then it returned about 5 years ago (i'm now 30). I've never met anyone in real life who has it as obviously as i do on my upper arms, and i find it quite embarrassing in summer when i wear strappy tops etc. I have trouble with picking and squeezing my bumps compulsively which probably doesn't help. I didn't know that there were things we could do to improve appearance until very recently!

I have just started using The Ordinary glycolic acid every evening, and every few days i scrub with First Aid Beauty KP scrub. How long did it take for you to start seeing results? is there anything else you recommend? Happy to have found you all 😄

Outlook account blocked & recovery wont work

As title suggests, i have been looked out of my outlook email. I have a personal account.

There was suspicious activity on the account. I logged in and changed my accoutn back up email. I then had to go through the accound recovery form - i did this with exact information - but they denied it. I've tried several times and same response each time.

I then tried to talk to a human at microsoft support, provided more info about my account via email - still they couldnt do anything.

What do i do now? I have very important emails i can't access, and am expecting emails about jobs and important stuff.

I am so pissed off with Microsoft - their customer support is non existent and i have no idea how to get into my account of 10+ years!

Etiquette around multiple job offers

I interviewed earlier this week for a short term RA position (less than a year). i also have another interview next wednesday for a post doc that’s 3 years. obviously I really want the post doc as this is better for me career wise. without getting ahead of myself and assuming I’ll get offered both, what is the etiquette?

I expect to find out about the lecturing position tomorrow (Thursday) but obviously my next interview is not for another week and I’m not sure how quickly a decision will be made on that. do I ask to delay my decision? do I accept then apologise and drop out if I am offered the other? I’m sure this happens all the time but just looking for some advice.
