On Arena I've pretty much only played Timeless and Limited. I'm looking to get into Historic, but don't feel like buying a ton of wildcards. For Timeless, I've got Mono Black Stompy, Dimir Reanimator, Hexmage Depths, Zoo, various Death's Shadow/Moon Shadow, and Super Shredder variants. Lots of fetch
reddit.comI think they could have found a bigger chair for Sexy Dexy. Poor guys nuts are up his butthole
RAKA - Big far for me. I got my first prosthetic. I'm having tons of mixed feelings right now. I'm overjoyed to be see two feet when I look down now. I know with a bit of therapy, I'll be able to walk mostly normal at some point. I do have a concern though.
I'm using a walker right now, as there is no way I'm ready to walk solo. My concern is how far I have to lean forward on my fake foot to get it planted so that I can take another step forward with my good leg. If I did not have my walker, I'd face plant with how far I have to lean forward. What am I doing wrong here? As happy as I am, I'm also frustrated. I wasn't expecting to walk on my own on day 1. Is this normal? Help calm my nerves.
Looking for mobile barber in or around Erlanger, KY. About 10 weeks ago, I under 2 amputations on my right leg. I've been back and forth to different hospitals and 3 skilled nursing facilities since. Being out of work, money is a bit short. I will pay for the service. Just saying that i can't pay
$100. If anyone knows of someone who might fit the bill, let me know.
Anthem vent - on April 2nd, 2026 I had my right leg amputated above the knee. A week after that, I had a heart attack. 2 weeks after that I had to have a revision done where I lost 4 more inches because my staples and stitches were coming apart and the manner in which it was done would not allow me
to fit into a socket for a prosthetic. When it came time for me to be discharged from the hospital, insurance would only approve a skilled nursing facility stating that I didn't need a traditional targeted rehab facility. Peer to peer reviews were completed and an appeal filed that were denied. So, I go to a SNF in the evening of Friday, March 8. I go to physical therapy that following Tuesday. My first actual bit of PT was Wednesday. Everything is going fine until this past Tuesday when the facility tells me that Anthem has stopped paying deeming me to be no longer in need of PT. Their reasoning was because on Monday, I was able to ascend and descend 6 four inch tall stair steps and I demonstrated that I could change and bathe myself with little trouble. Nevermind that when it came to normal sized stairs, I failed miserably. Nevermind the fact that while I was able to use my walker for about 20 steps before tiring out.
I am so beyond livid at Anthem and their doctors who make these decisions. I am unable to even get into my own house without assistance (I live alone). If I were able to get in, I'm stuck on the first floor with only a half bath. I'm physically very well from spending the better part of 8 weeks in a hospital bed. To those of you who do not believe in national healthcare, your tune will change if you're ever in a spot like me. I don't want to have a discussion about that. You believe what you want. Anthem has fought me every step of the way. Almost as if they want me to fail. I don't know how they sleep at night. Probably on a fat stack of cash. I fucking hate this. I'm at my lowest point right and not sure I even want to continue. I don't know what to do from here. I don't know what, if any, avenues are available for me to take. It's like I just got dropped in a foreign country who doesn't have any English speakers. Fuck you Anthem!
Curious to know how people's dating life was impacted post amputation. I'm almost 8 weeks out from RAKA. 47 years old and single. Exceptionally worried that my dating life is about to suck. I haven't tried dating anyone since my amputation, focusing everything on recovery.
Things are in motion to get a prosthetic. I'm just worried that my dating pool is going to be much smaller. Worried that I'll have to settle for someone just to have a companion.
Edit Thanks to everyone who has replied so far. It gives me a lot of confidence after reading through a large portion of everything.
Muscle cramps and spasms in my stump are making my life hell. For pain, I'm taking 10mg Oxycodone every 4 hours and 4mg of Tizsnidine every 6. While both of those provide some level of comfort, it is fleeting. I seriously can't take it anymore. 7 hours straight of continuous speedy spasms pressing against my femur and also putting stress on my incision causing stinging and burning. To this point, I've had an X-ray from the vascular team that showed nothing remarkable. Been told that they are giving me as much pain medication as they can, and have provided me with nothing else. Forgot to mention I'm taking Tylenol and have a lidocaine patch directly on the most painful area every 12 hours. WTF do I do? I'm about to hop in this wheelchair and play in traffic (I'm kidding, just belaboring the massive amount of pain I'm in).
