Apparently my dog believes that miniature painting is a team activity…
His name is Finn, and I’m currently working on a Steel Wolves MuckRacker, Pegasus and Savannah Master.

I know the early Dark Age leaves a bitter taste in a people’s mouth mostly because of how Wizkids handled the whole thing but with the benefit of hindsight I kind of enjoy it now that CGL is stitching the timeline together.
My FLGS is doing a “rags-to-riches” campaign set in former RoTS space and you basically get 3K BV for your own mech and the DM gives you another 3K BV in combat vehicles or industrial mechs and you’re supposed to rebuild your unit. So I took that as an opportunity to paint a faction from the Dark Age that interested me, the Steel Wolves!
Nameplates for the Quasit, Harvester and MuckRaker (and I have a Buster that will round out the star) are on the way! What do y’all think?
Okay, so admittedly the 1v1 between my High Kâhl and Ghaz did not go well.
But overall it was a win for the combined forces of the Votann and the Imperial Guard on Armageddon. I played Armoured Trailblazers and Farseekers alongside a Ogryn heavy Guard formation with a Stormlord against Ghaz, a bunch of boyz and a Gargant.
The Stormlord was evaporated on turn 1 and the Orgyn's proceeded to tarpit pretty much anything that was thrown at them (and a lot was thrown at them), while my hernkyn were basically water around Ghaz and the Gargant. Doing our best to avoid conflict where we could and stack up the victory points by holding objectives. By turn three we held 5 of the six objective markers and went to Fortify Takeover. I had a Kapricus and a half-squad of Hernkyn on one of the enemy objectives, and my Pioneers used their ability to roll up the side of the battlefield had proceeded to scare the squad of Grotz off their objective, while my hearthkyn held the other three.
Casualties were horrendous though and I needed to slow down Ghaz for another turn so my High Kâhl took his surviving squad of Hearthkyn and sold their lives dearly to the power klaws of Ghaz and his Mega-nobz but bought me another turn on the objectives while a single Ogryn heroically held out against a squad of 20 boyz coming down the left flank.
Overall it was a fun game and I was impressed with how tough the Votann are. And that's coming from a former Custodes player! Can't wait to play again.
We're still not even sure why he did it. Perhaps because the laundry was getting more attention than he was?
A little while ago I posted a small clip of a Polytrix fic I was working on and everyone seemed excited to read it. So I finally finished chapter 1!
For context, sleepy Rumi answered the door to her room in the middle of the night, deciding not to wear her normal hoodie. Why bother? Mira and Zoey know about her patterns now, and they seem fine with it.
Right?
Still got lots of work to do on the rest of the mech, but I think the bird turned out okay? What do y’all think?
