sold to a reseller

sold my first ever vinted package! It went well!

It was a bag of our baby’s newborn clothes we don’t need anymore. I was surprised it sold so quickly.

I thought I’d go and message the buyer to ask if they’d like me to be in touch when my baby grows out of the next age group of clothes, it felt like a wholesome thing.

Turns out their page is FILLED with baby clothes, whole bundles of like 30 onesies for newborn etc.

I mean good for them to resell things on I guess I just felt incredibly naive in that moment of what I thought could be maternal bonding lol 😝

Any holiday recs w a 5mo?

Hoping to go to a poolside type hotel (or beach, not fussy!) in September to have a first family break.

Any good experiences, or things to specifically look for when booking in your experience?

How long do you offer the potty for?

3MO, just started lazy EC this week. It’s been a journey, to say the least.

I’ve had it where I sit her on the potty and she just…stares at me. Smiles sometimes. I make the sounds to wee, but nada. How long should I be giving her? Surely if we just sit there she’ll eventually give me something but that doesn’t really help her learn that needing to wee means going on the potty, it just teaches her that sometimes mummy holds her on the weird bucket thing for ages for seemingly no reason - right?

(I just want this to work and I know I’m barley started but my goodness I wish I had started week 1 but hindsight is 20/20 eh)

Sports Screen Time (a bit of a jest)

We don’t count sports on tv as screen time, right? World Cup took up a lot of time and now WAFCON has become my go to for football (also the recaps of the commonwealth games are fun to watch).

Sports is like. Aspirational right?

(We’re keeping screen time as much a minimum as possible, I sweaaaarrrrr)

Finding it hard to start

My plan has always been to ‘lazy EC’ but now that LO is 3 months, my brain is absolutely stuttering at the start line.

I’ve practised a few times getting her onto the top hat thing, and she’s unphased by it, she even gave me a big smile at the novelty haha

But the idea of ripping off the buttons and a nappy to try and catch a wee or a poo my brain just suddenly cannot compute!!

Basically - help? Is there a way to re-frame this to help me get started properly? I know it’ll be great to have her a little more familiar with communicating her needs and to cut down on nappy use, I just. Waaahh!!

Such a brain stutter.
