the problem: something in the update is causing the AC handshake between your home charger and your car to act like bloods and crips. youll get an error that goes like " your power grid sucks "

the temp solution: lower your cars charge rate by half, go into the settings for both your car and your home charger and drop them both down to 24A. once your car starts charging at the full 24A, then you can go in and increase your charge rate back to its normal 40A/48A rate (depending if your level 2 charger is hooked up to a 50amp outlet or hardwired)

the real solution: submit a service ticket and tell them you want the virtual service team to pull the logs from your car to verify the errors. they will pull the logs and push out a software rollback "update" which will put you back one step in updates. this should fix the issues some of us are having with charging at home.

my 2015 model s 70 has the original mcu1 and the dash screen has that melting problem.

when i saw the news that the model s was no longer going to be made, i said to myself, cool, my 2015 model s 70 will hold its value alittle more.

then i saw a post that tesla was moving pallets of parts at auction. so i thought, crap, that upgraded infotainment is going to be sold out soon. and it did. for like a week. and that whole week i was kicking myself for not paying for the upgrade.

fortunately the mcu2 upgrade came back in stock and i bought it right away.

so now i have an appointment scheduled and i keep watching youtube videos of what changes and it doesnt seem like it does much for my car. i get tesla theater and faster load times for maps, the melting screens get replaced and im assuming the resale value will go alittle higher with the mcu2.

now the cheapskate in me is telling me, the screens arent cracked or broken on my current mcu1, i dont really plan on using tesla theater. am i really only getting the upgrade for the peace of mind that the screens wont get melty and it will help with resale?

thats where i am at. i can still cancel my appointment and get a refund.

my long term plan for this car is to keep using it as my daily until i get my next promotion (less than a year), once that promotion hits ill be getting a car allowance, that car allowance will go towards a brand used model s with fsd, the biggest battery and sentri mode. ill eventually sell my 2015 model s

i mean, yes you can control it if needed but what i meant was like, i just started using AP1 in my 2015, its awesome for stop and go traffic. alittle aggressive at times. i just cant stop watching the drivers behind me get terrifyingly close when my car slows down.

i understand it supposed to have a safety gap between the car in front of me but Californians are terrible at leaving safety gaps.

sometimes it also feels like other drivers get angry with how the car slows down so quickly, making them react and hitting their brakes harder than normal. am i just trippin?

literally took them off to do some car work, put them back on after i finished and turned on the switch....no aquafina telling me how much battery i have or status lights. ...

they still pair up to the app and i can still take pics and video. whats worse is that after researching last night for about an hour, it looks like the culprit is a small connector inside the right arm casing that gets wiggled loose over time. no idea why Rayban wouldnt use a more secure connector for it but as my glasses are under warranty and prescription, im just gonna get them replaced with my warranty.

sucks more because i had to remove my PrismXR c2 from the glasses and those battery extenders are not intended to be removed and reinstalled onto another pair. i can confidently say that once the replacement pair breaks, and im out of warranty, i will not be picking up another pair. ill wait until another company comes out with a native google gemini version.

on a side note. i went from Meta app help>whatsapp chat with meta>luxottica support>emailed proof of purchase>luxottice support again>being told i need to go through my optometrist as they are prescription. wayyyy too many steps, no wonder people get frustrated about warranty exchanges. pretty sure meta likes the struggle for its consumers.

ive noticed over these last 2 days that my notification light comes on like if i said hey meta. it also doesnt listen to me when i say stop or im done. i have to tap the touch pad to turn on music to make it stop.

im not a fan of that light coming on because it makes me feel like meta is taking a picture or listening when i dont want it to.

i do not have on that autocapture feature.

this started happening this morning. my meta ai assistant isnt waiting for my voice commands. i say hey meta, the light turns on and i hear the audible beep sounds but then the lights turn off and its not listening anymore.

any ideas what could be happening?

using a samsung s24 ultra.

i tried going to the samsung gallery app, selecting all the pics and videos from this weekend and tried to merge them into a movie. due to the videos all having slightly different aspect ratios. my samsung gallery app is like "nah dawg" they all need to be the same format.

so i tried selecting all the videos and pics using the meta ai app, and akwafina is telling me to press on the create button on the top left, but all i see is the cancel button....

i then went to creations where it wants me to start my first creation but i dont want to use ai to modify my videos, i just want them all stitched together into one video.

any ideas before i pull out my laptop?
