Welp, Iberia lost my ONE luggage

As the title says, it’s been about 8 days and counting, still not found. Flew from Dallas to Seville, Spain with about a 2 hour layover in Madrid in between (Flight numbers IB364 & IB1073). I flew with two other people but their luggages came in through the baggage claim while just mine did not. I’ve been going through Reddit to see other people’s experiences and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t check this before booking a flight with them. This seems to be a very common occurrence of them misplacing people’s luggage, among other issues. This has gotta be the absolute worst airline I’ve ever flown with. I’ve talked to numerous different customer service reps and they are no help at all. Unfortunately, I did not put an AirTag in my bag, didn’t think to do it. I’ve flown several times with other airlines and never had my bag lost before. The worst I’ve had was a single day delay, but they knew exactly where my bag was and sent it on a later flight.

I just can’t believe this is happening to me. I had gotten false hope because they said they found a bag that seemed to match my description in the Madrid Airport, and mind you, I even sent them pictures of the bag; but once I finally arrived to Madrid, I called them and they said they confirmed that was not my bag. I’ve been planning this trip for months and have a really important event coming up that’s the whole point of the trip and stuff I had in that bag was really specific which I had to order in advance. Needless to say, but I’ll absolutely never be flying with Iberia ever again! I’m so annoyed and just feel hopeless at this point.

Does anyone have any advice to help? I know there are other past posts about people losing their bags but I’m just so desperate and would like any advice/help at all that I can get.

I finally got my bag back! But through little to no help from Iberia. Since my Spain trip ended up bringing me back to Madrid, I ended up just going to the airport and asking them for help. Lucky, there was a guy at the baggage claim help desk that was incredibly understanding and helpful! I was so surprised that he could be an Iberia employee… then I found out that he’s not actually directly hired under Iberia but works for a third party company that Iberia uses, that made a lot more sense lol. Anyway, it seemed like my bag had been left at Madrid the entire time. They found it there and brought it up to the special baggage claim for me! I called Iberia and guess what the status of my case was — still “searching” with no update 😒. Well, I told them I have my bag and want my reimbursement now, so now I’m currently in the process of getting that reimbursement, which is suspect will be yet another headache with them. Once again, NEVER FLY WITH IBERIA!

Just got scammed… again. Avoid someone anyone named Doctor M. No more crypto-only vendors for me!

Got scammed out of $100 from someone named Doctor M. He has a WhatsApp channel called “Peptides for Weight loss and Fitness Wellness” where he’ll post all these convincing messages and pictures of satisfied customers getting their packages. Avoid it at all costs! He’ll make you trust him by saying you can send just half the total price then send the remaining once you receive the package, basically making it seem like you both have to trust in this situation. But once you send money, then comes the email saying your package is being held and you need to pay +$100 for “insurance and a security fee”. I didn’t send anymore money after the initial $100 of course.

And before this I got scammed on telegram by someone called Erica Wu (username is @ericarpp). Took $85 from me. Avoid that as well!

This is the last time I ever do business with a vendor who only takes crypto. Stop entertaining vendors who ONLY take crypto or some other form of payment that offers no buyer protection. Sorry to the legit vendors out there who may have valid reasons for only taking crypto, blame the scumbag scammers out there. If you don’t accept Alibaba or PayPal Goods and Services, goodbye!

And trust me there are vendors that do accept these forms of payments that offer buyer protection! I paid one vendor using Alibaba but due to supposed issues with logistics, my package was held up way longer than I could keep waiting. Guess what happened… the vendor kindly processed a refund for me! I wish I got my peptides, but at least I feel good knowing that I’m pretty sure I’ve found a legit vendor for now. I told them that once they get everything sorted out with logistics, let me know promptly so I can put in a new order! They’re out there guys!
