Hive members die every time she causes an outburst in the collective. Why doesn't Carol use that even as a threat to free people, or cause interference to the Hives plan?
I didn't realize V had Dex figured out even before they meet. Jackie was convinced Dex was the real deal and a serious fixer. But V had reservations if he was like every other fixer. The kind that drops you in a landfill after the job is done, which is exactly what Dex does. No loyalty to the crew.
Dex puts on a lot of charisma and talk. But as soon as your usefulness is over you're trashed. Suppose its more payout if everyone else is dead. It was just "lucky" for him that T-Bug got fried by a netrunner and Jackie got shot. Probably what happened to Dex's first crew.
