Help me read this birth record?

I'm looking for some assistance reading this birth record from Brome, Quebec. I have included the relevant passage and also an image of the full page in case it helps.

I believe this record is for the baptism of Eva Farnan whose mother is Margaret Tibbits. I suspect the child was born out of wedlock but I am struggling to see if there is a father or other relevant information listed. I doubt Farnan is the father's surname, Margaret's father is named Alonzo Farnan Tibbits and Eva spent the rest of her life going by Eva Tibbits so I suspect Farnan is meant to be her middle name.

Edited to add the parts I can decipher:

Baptized by me in the presence of the subscribing witnesses Eva Farnan daughter of Margaret Tibbits of Brome, and ????? under the guardianship of Miss E.G. Barber of Knowlton. Then it lists birth date and baptism date.

What goes well with the middle name Eve?

I have an ancestor named Eva who I would like to honor. I don't know how she pronounced it, but I prefer the pronounciation ee-va.

I was thinking of going with the middle name Eve, to avoid pronunciation issues and because I really enjoy single syllable middle names.

These are the first names on my list, but none of them seem to jive with Eve.

Does ancestor's military service negate citizenship by descent?

I'm having trouble understanding if our chain of descent has been broken.

Joseph is born in Germany in 1897. He immigrates to the USA in 1923, marries in 1927.

In 1932 his son John is born in the USA (in wedlock). Sometime after 1940, Joseph naturalizes in the USA.

John is confirmed to be a German citizen by birth, correct?

In 1953 John is drafted and serves in the US Army in Korea -- does this negate his German citizenship?

In 1956, John marries. In 1964 he has a daughter Ann (in wedlock). Ann is still living. Are Ann's children and grandchildren then German citiz3ns by descent? Neither Ann nor any of her children or grandchildren have served in any military or naturalized anywhere.

Am I crazy?

My employer covers two rounds of IVF no questions asked. I already have one baby. I'm not entirely sure how long I'll stay with my employer. I'm almost 37 and my mother went through menopause VERY early (40). I have decided to do both rounds of IVF this summer, starting shots beginning of July.

Am I crazy? Am I about to put myself through hell for no reason?

My fertility testing was normal except for quite low ovarian reserve (tested twice to be sure). Just how hellish is this going to be? Is it being free blinding me to how hard this is? We have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year but honestly not as hard as we should have been. We are so busy and tired and while we usually have sex twice around the time of ovulation, there isn't much sex outside of that.
