Won a free baby leachie
Today I'm picking up a 6 month old leachie gecko that I won in a raffle last night. I own cresties and have experience caring for leopards and other larger reptiles, but have never even heard of leachies before this week.
I did research on them for 6 hours straight last night after I got the call that I won, so I have a bit of an idea of what I'm getting myself into. I've picked up a used tank from Craigslist and am trying to get everything set up before I bring home the new baby.
The tank came set up as a bioactive enclose. I absolutely plan to empty it out and give it a thorough cleaning. I will replace the substrate but am curious is there is a safe way that I can clean the branches to reuse them, or if I should just replace everything?
