Type 3c diabetes

Hi everyone, I’m a 21M with Type 3c (pancreatogenic) diabetes due to chronic pancreatitis, which I’ve had for around 6 years.

My recent HbA1c was 6.9%, and over the past few years it has generally been around 6.2–6.9%.

My endocrinologist has told me that, for Type 3c, keeping HbA1c between 6-7 % represents good control. However, I still feel quite anxious about whether my control is actually good enough, especially because I experience fluctuations in my blood sugar.

I currently manage my diabetes with Humalog insulin pens along with Glucobay (acarbose). Unfortunately, in my country, insulin pumps and CGMs aren’t covered, so I rely on finger-stick glucose testing.

I’d really appreciate hearing from others with Type 3c:
What is your usual HbA1c?

Do you guys notice a-change in pattern regarding blood sugar spikes and lows? Whenever i visit different cities, my sugar levels changes drastically. Sometimes requiring 20-30 units of Humalog a day or sometimes no insulin at all.

I really appreciate some tips for managing blood sugar.

I know everyone’s situation is different, but I’d really like to understand what “good control” looks like for other people living with Type 3c.

Zara rich warm addictive -98ml SWAP

Looking to swap my Zara Infinite (98/100 ml remaining).

✨ Rich, smooth, date-night fragrance with great presence.

Reason for swapping: I already own a very similar scent, so this isn’t getting much use.

📍Purchased from an official Zara store for ₹1,950.

Open to swap offers for fragrances of similar value. Feel free to DM with what you have!

I also have some middle eastern decants which i can add up for a swap with a slightly above value than mine

Help a beginner out

Hey everyone,

I used to trade actively back in 2021 and stayed consistent for around 2 years.

I started with my own capital and was fortunate enough to make a little over 100% in my first year. Unfortunately, I had a personal emergency and had to pull out all of my trading capital. After that, I shifted to prop firm trading, cleared a couple of funded accounts, and managed to make some decent profits there as well.

Fast forward to today, I’ve been completely off the grid when it comes to trading for quite a while. I’m now thinking of getting back into prop trading, but I’m sure a lot has changed over the past few years.

I have a few questions for those who’ve stayed active:

  1. Do SMC concepts still work? I mainly traded using order blocks, liquidity, etc. Are those still effective, or has the edge faded?

  2. Has technical analysis become much more complex? Do I need to dive deep into advanced indicators, volume analysis, footprint charts, etc., or can a clean price-action approach still be enough?

  3. Have prop firms improved, or are they still known for questionable practices and cheap tactics?

  4. How has the trading landscape changed over the last few years? Have any major strategies or concepts (similar to SMC/ICT) become popular or proven effective?

  5. Is it realistic to trade part-time and still be consistently profitable, especially with prop firms?

  6. Since I have a decent grasp of macroeconomics through the CFA , are there strategies that meaningfully incorporate fundamentals, economic data releases, central bank decisions, or news trading? Or is it still better to stick primarily to price action?

I’d really appreciate any insights or advice before I jump back in. Thanks!
