Hi everyone, I really need some advice 😭
I’ve done nanoplastia twice, and ever since then my curl pattern is basically gone. My hair used to be curly, but now it dries frizzy, undefined, and kind of puffy instead of forming curls/waves.
I’m not sure if this is damage or if my curls can come back, so I’d really appreciate any help or similar experiences.
Routine:
Shampoo & Conditioner: L’Oréal Elvive shampoo + conditioner (regular line, not sulfate-free)
After conditioning, I detangle using either a wide-tooth comb or an anti-tangle/detangler brush
Styling:
I section my hair into 3 sections (my hair is thick)
I rake in Aunt Jackie’s leave-in conditioner section by section
Then I apply Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly (pink one), kind of lather it on
I scrunch after applying
Drying:
I diffuse on high heat + high speed
I rarely use heat protectant
Hair info:
Thick density
Not sure about porosity
Curl pattern used to be defined but now mostly gone after nanoplastia
Has anyone experienced losing their curl pattern after nanoplastia or similar treatments? Is this reversible or did I permanently alter my hair? And what can I do to help my curls come back?
Any tips or product/routine changes would mean a lot 🙏
