Weight gain on Dupixent
I’ve been on Dupixent for about 6 months now and I’ve noticed something really unexpected…. I’ve gained at least 5kg, possibly more. I know weight gain isn’t listed as an official side effect of Dupixent, which is why I’m curious wether anyone else experiences this.
Before starting Dupixent, I was very lean build and had always struggled to gain weight. I could eat a lot and would basically stay the same weight. I always assumed I just had a very fast metabolism. Nothing significant has changed in my lifestyle, diet, exercise etc. but since starting Dupixent I’ve gradually gained around 5kg over the last 6 months.
I’m actually not upset about the weight gain at all, if anything, I’m kind of happy about it because gaining weight has always been difficult for me. I’m just curious about why this might be happening…
Has anyone else on Dupixent noticed unexpected weight gain, especially people who previously struggled to gain weight? If so, how much did you gain and and how long after starting Dupixent did you notice it?
