update to my previous post about the nonsense with Samsung

I posted the post linked below about having problems accessing secondary audio/audio description with my antenna on my Samsung TV. Ended up buying an LG and it seems to be much better.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Blind/s/Rj8BZ7zjiv

well, I bought an LG TV the same size as my old Samsung. This TV has a remote with numbers, braille in a few places on the remote which is occasionally a nice touch to have just for the sake of orientation on the remote, and the way to toggle SAP is as simple as pressing one button at the very top of the remote.

so for anyone in the future who like me, doesn't want a spyware TV constantly connected to the Internet and simply uses the TV for receiving over the air broadcasts or even cable, LG might be the one.

it talks out of the box and it even has the option to install high-quality Samantha if you want to temporarily connect it to the Internet.

U.S. over the air audio description/SAP

TLDR: The audio description shortcut, seemingly designed for over the air tv does absolutely nothing in violation of C.V.A.A. and therefore I have to go to a buried menu to switch between regular/primary audio and secondary audio. The person put in charge of fixing this is completely clueless and says my local broadcasters are wrong, and that the shortcut does what it is supposed to.

What am I missing and is every broadcast engineer I've spoken to wrong.

Does LG do this properly?? Would I be better off with a lg tv?

I have a very annoying issue with my samsung tv where because of the way AD is delivered over the air, I have to switch back and forth at least twice a day because the secondary channel goes silent when it switches away from the national audio feed. Samsung says use the shortcut on the accessibility shortcuts screen. The problem is that the shortcut literally does nothing on or off.

If I want description for live tv, I must go into the very much buried audio options menu under broadcasting, and at the same time, time it just right before the station switches back to the local station feed to hear local news or whatever.

Any ideas to get them to fix this because the FCC's rules state there must be a "simple and easy to use," way to activate/deactivate audio description presumably because of the timing problem of stations going back to the local feed and not being able to broadcast audio on both channels.

The only tv I've ever used that seems to do this properly is roku... witch seems to do everything else badly, as unlike my samsung tv, I cannot browsse the OTA guide.

Should I be receiving more channels than the ones mentioned below?

Note: I have a shitty flat antenna facing a southern window and get a few more channels every once in a while but the indoor antenna is becoming more and more unusable so it's mostly irrelevant here. just mentioned it because not sure why the channel lineup is different on tvs only feet from one another.

The shitty window antenna is connected to a roku tv.

Before anybody mentions the signal meter,I might not be able to use the tv's signal meter because at least in the case of my roku tv, the signal meter portion of the system doesn't speak.

I need it to function with the built-in screen reader if I am expected to use it.

I'd think the samsung tv's signal meter should work with it's built-in screen reader but haven't tried recently.

I have a clearstream 4MAX from antennasDirect.

I haven't been able to get anybody to tell me wether I should be recieving more channels than the ones mentioned below.

On my samsung tv, I recieve: WCBI, FOX4, MyMississippI, WTVA/ABC9, CW27 and its sub-channels, and a random religious channel and its subchannels.

The antenna connected to the samsung tv is on an outdoor pole a few feet away from the northern side of the house.

Should I be recieving more channels? If so, how do I fix whatever's going on?

 here's the link.

stop asking for feedback on your songs. It has nothing to do with logic pro

just what the title says. This sub has become the unfortunate twin to r/musicfeedback. just because you made your song in logic pro doesn't mean your song has anything to do with logic pro. Please stop!
