Is my school running a scam
I need to know if this is even legal because it sounds like a complete scam.
My school is threatening to force students to pay a penalty/fee if we don't hit a specific "target mark" on our school examinations.
Let's be clear: this isn't a fee for a re-exam or extra tutoring resources. They are straight-up demanding money as a punishment for bad grades.
This feels incredibly predatory and unethical. Aren't schools supposed to help struggling students, not extort them for cash?
Has anyone else ever dealt with a school doing this? Is this even allowed, or should I be reporting this to the school board / education ministry immediately?
