How to invert the NORDKISA Small Open wardrobe?

How to invert the NORDKISA Small Open wardrobe?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to do a little IKEA hack on the small NORDKISA wardrobe with sliding door, and I was wondering if anyone managed to invert the rod/rail from the left side to the right side?

I need the rod on the right instead of the left, but I can’t figure out if it’s actually possible.

Has anyone done this before or found a workaround?

Any advice or photos would be super appreciated, thanks! 🙏

What is this behavior? Playfight or genuine annoyance?

I found him was he was around 2 weeks old, and he is now around 6 weeks old. Still have his baby squeak voice.

(I say him, but I haven't officialy sex him yet, so he can be a she)

Transforming the Ikea Norden table

We bought the IKEA Norden table second-hand for about two-thirds of the original price, and it was in very good condition.

We spent an entire day painting and customizing it, and it still ended up costing less than buying it new.

We also repositioned the support beam so the chairs can slide fully under the table without hitting the crossbeam.

EDIT

Here are the details of what we did:

For the blue parts:

  • Lightly sanded the surface to remove most of the original varnish
  • Applied a special furniture paint with a roller
  • Finished with a clear protective varnish

For the wooden tabletop:

  • Sanded everything down
  • Applied 3 coats of mahogany varnish
  • Finished with 1 coat of clear varnish

Then for the details:

  • Added the corner protectors
  • Added the half-moon handles

One important tip, avoid putting too much paint inside the drawer grooves, otherwise the drawers can start sticking. We had to sand some paint back off because the drawers weren’t opening smoothly anymore.
