Just finished my second at-home microneedling session: Progress report

I just finished my second at-home microneedling session. This was approximately four weeks after the first one.

To begin with, I will discuss the results from my first session:

  1. It was very encouraging. My skin looked overall younger and the texture improved for sure.
  2. I am not sure about the wrinkles. I have static wrinkles, somewhat deep, and I don't see dramatic changes. I heard it takes several sessions to see the improvement.
  3. The downside was negligible. It took about four days for the redness to go down, although this depends on the needle length. I will discuss my protocol below.

My exact protocol is as follows.

  1. I applied numbing cream, 10% lidocaine cream, all over my face and neck, waited about an hour, washed the numbing cream with a gentle cleanser, wiped off any excess with alcohol swap.
  2. The exact order of microneedling is: forehead, eyebrows, temples, and jawline, nose, neck and finally cheeks.
  3. My instrument of choice is Derminator 2 with a 12-pin needle. I used 1.5mm depth pretty much everywhere but the under eye area. I know I will get flak from people for using too deep of needles. But I've done my research and for my first microneedling I used the same needle length without any adverse effect.

If you are to follow a similar protocol as mine, make sure you sterilize everything. Without it you will encounter severe problems from infection. Also, do not use anything other than HA after the treatment.

I intend to repeat this process monthly at least for a year and document the progress periodically.

1mm Microneedling every 3 weeks: Is it too aggressive?

I plan to microneedle my entire face with 1mm every 3 weeks for 6-8 sessions for deepening wrinkles. Is this too aggressive of a plan? I just came across a medical article that used 1.5mm depth every 2 weeks for 6 sessions to treat acne scars.

I would appreciate your sharing experiences.

Recommendation for Shubert String Quartet (Late) Recordings?

Any recommendation for Schubert's late string quartet recordings? A specific version to purchase? I am aware of only a few quartets (like Emerson).

Gen 3 Users with Data Loss Issues?

I am a holder of Gen 2, and mine loses data on a regular basis.

I heard from Astrohaus that the issue has been fixed with Gen 3, and given they updated the software, I'm hoping that this is truly the case.

So any Gen 3 user with data loss experiences? I am genuinely curious as Freewrite is still the gold standard of writerdecks when it comes to hardware aesthetics.

Feel free to comment if you never experienced any data loss with heavy use of the device. (maybe 50k words?)

Thanks in advance.
