Okay im having my first local con and just went out to buy a random wig from a store nearby, it seemed fine but its HELLA tangled, like large knots everything its just awful, I have no idea what to do, please help!

this is the first time im going to a local convention and I got in a hurry and bought a random wig out of my local thrift store, it seemed fine at first but its HELLA tangled, I have no idea what to do like genually, i keep brushing it gets worst or does nothing, its so frustrating

This is a synthetic wig, these are very LARGE knots.
