Needing support

My baby is 6 months old. Around 4 months we worked on putting herself to sleep more independently; I stopped nursing to sleep to hope to get her to sleep better, which worked after a few days of shushing in the bassinet or rubbing her belly instead. Not without tears.

Now the habits have crept back in, sometimes I rock her to sleep, or nurse back to sleep if a nap isnt going well. This kind of all started because we are on the go and she is transitioning from 4 to 3 naps. Anyway, night wakings have gotten progressively worse again. I honestly don’t think she’s waking up simply to nurse or be rocked back to sleep but wanting those things because she’s uncomfortable. I think she has silent reflux and/or constipation. Teething too. Normally once she gets in my arms she will go back to sleep but last night she woke up crying out in pain every few minutes even while on me. I didn’t sleep all night and after a few nights of just a few hours of sleep it’s really wrecking me. Just to cover my bases I let her cry to sleep tonight. If you’ve gotten this far in my saga that’s the part I need support with.

To be clear she is perfectly happy all day. Naps are 100% on track with wake windows of 2/2.25/2.5/2.75 hours.

I feel so bad because unlike the first sleep training we did 2 months ago when she sort of whine-cried this time she was hysterically protesting. Quiet the second I pick her up. Just really not wanting to fall asleep in her crib even with me there, or not there for 30 min.

I guess it’s just hard for me & I don’t know if it will even help. Next I need to night wean at least one of the 3 feedings and I also don’t know how to do that. My first child woke all night like this too. For 2 years. Not sure if I’m doing this right. Thanks.

Breastfeeding on methimazole

I just relapsed postpartum. I can’t really go too long between nursing sessions maybe like 2 hours in the daytime and 4-5 after bedtime on a good day. I read taking your pill right after nursing would be helpful to minimize transmission. It will be 5mg may even start on 2.5 and see how that goes. I guess I’m just nervous about nursing on it and need some reassurance. Thanks.

5 month old schedule

Please help me solve my baby’s sleep schedule.
She takes 4 naps a day currently and struggles to make it to the end of the wake windows which have been 1.75/2/2/2.25/2.25 bedtime is all over the place between 6:30-8:30 because naps are often very short.
She falls asleep independently.
Has a lot of false starts at bedtime. I think this could be reflux related bc it’s the only time she goes down relatively soon after nursing. We will push that feed earlier, but it’s hard to do. I don’t know if those wakings are related to sleep schedule or not. I want to transition to 3 naps but I think going to bed at 5 seems too early.
She also wants to be held to sleep for bedtime (maybe again, reflux, being upright) but maybe just protesting bedtime whereas she doesn’t protest naps.
Pediatrician has okayed night weaning but I am ok to nurse on 5/3/3 schedule but sometimes she wakes more than that. Should I prioritize never holding to sleep for bedtime? Should I adjust schedule, and go for early bedtime during transition? Any suggestions at all please

Please help

My baby is 4.5 months old.
We don’t have a schedule and I find it impossible because I have an older child and obligations so my baby ends up napping in the car and being woken up too soon often. When we are home I put her down every 1.75-2 hours and she does fall asleep independently sometimes for naps, until recently she’s decided nursing to sleep is the only acceptable way. Lately she also wakes at night (hourly on a bad night) and can’t fall back asleep without nursing. I am trying to break the nurse to sleep habit in hopes to help her learn to stay asleep. The problem is overnight she will cry indefinitely and not be soothed by anything but nursing and I live in an apartment where I can’t allow this to go on for too many nights. Today I made an attempt at having my husband do the putting down for naps and she was able to eventually fall asleep with his check-ins (soothing minimally without picking up and crying in between) when I do this she won’t stop crying whether I pick up or not because she only wants to nurse. Seems like a good plan to have him do nights as well but I’m unsure how to proceed. Nights seem harder for her to stop crying as she is screaming almost in her sleep and unable to snap out of it.
I also think the frequent waking are sometimes because she has to burp, and so I feel horrible not picking up, because often once I do give in and pick her up she burps.

2015 Crosstrek viscous coupling failed!

My 2015 crosstrek (Manual trans) apparently needs a viscous coupling. I was given a quote of $1200 to fix it by my local mechanic. That’s with a $600 part from Subaru and his labor (he doesn’t actually know how long it will take I guess it depends on if the full transmission needs to be pulled or not)

I am highly disappointed that this happened, it’s a big cost for me. But I’m here to ask if anyone has had this happen, how much did it cost you to fix? Apparently this is a known issue with this year manual transmission!

I’m also looking to replace my other car, I was set on another Subaru but now idk. I’d also love rec’s for what years, makes and models to buy to avoid similar known issues! Looking in the 10ish years old price range
