Which pc parts are best to buy second hand?

Hi everyone, the title already tells the tale: I am on the verge of buying a new pc (waiting for prime days though :/) and was wondering, if I see any good second hand offers before or after, whether specific parts are better to use after running for a bit and which parts do get notably worse with more usage, so I should stay away from them.

Or do you maybe think that second hand is not worth the risk? I would expect it probably depends on the vendor, if they have the invoice and warranty etc., but I am curious to hear your thoughts.

Thank you so much!

1440p IPS MiniLED or 4k on 27 inch monitor?

Hi everyone, I am having a hard time deciding between monitors: I will have a 9800x3d CPU and 9070xt GPU and am looking to game, more leaning towards singleplayer games, but also be able to do productive stuff on it as well. I have decided that I want an IPS Monitor, but cannot decide between getting a 4k 27´´ IPS or an IPS 2k mini LED (Xiaomi G Pro 27Qi 2026).

OLED does not seem worth it for me for reasons of cost and conscience, I don't want to worry about harming the monitor while using it.

At 4k, I am afraid that I won't reach high FPS numbers, especially in games that will be released in a couple of years (since I want to futureproof my system to a certain extent), but what I read on reddit so far regarding 4k seems like it could be worth it. But I would also love the deep blacks that miniLED provides since my room is fairly dark and good contrast would definitely make the games I am looking to play better, does 4k outweigh this advantage? And if 4k, are there particular models you can recommend? I am grateful for any thoughts on this!

FYI: My viewing distance is around 70-75cm, so with 2k I would reach a PPD of around 60, and with 4k above 80 if that helps.

Hey everyone, I am close to buying the components I put together through help and research, you can check it out here: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/GQwmkD (any feedback on it is still welcome)

I have two final questions though: Are there huge differences in which 9070xt brand and model to buy, because there are price differences up to 200 euros or something like that and I wondered if there are really quality differences big enough to justify not buying one of the cheapest options. And can you recommend considering overclock, is it important? I want to use it for gaming and play games which are a bit more demanding on it, if that is relevant to that question.

My second question is regarding the fans, are they necessary and does it depend on the case how many I need / should buy, if any at all?
Sorry if these questions are a bit basic/odd, I am just getting into pc building in general, thank you so much in advance!

I am still not sure about which RAM to choose, do you think I should value the lower CL more (30>36) or the Speed (6200/6400>6000)? And do any brands have a particularly good or bad reputation regarding RAM?

Also it would help a lot if you used any of these parts before and could tell me if I am making a mistake or not. Also any pointers on which Case, Power Supply or Cooler to use would be great since I did not do a lot of research on those parts. Thank you so much!

Hello everyone, I am looking to buy a new Gaming PC since almost all of the parts of my old one are outdated. I am living in Germany and have a budget from around 2000-3000€. As a reference, I want to be able to play more demanding games like Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, I don't know if that helps. I would be incredibly grateful for any advice at all, such as which brands to choose, which parts to invest a lot in and which are maybe not that relevant, to build it myself or let a professional do it or maybe buy an already assembled pc. Thank you so much in advance for anything you are willing to share and help me have fun gaming hopefully very soon!
Edit: Maybe since the prices are up right now, do you recommend getting a used pc / pc parts? Thanks!
