How to get ergobaby embrace lower on baby's neck/head and a bit more snug

I love this carrier but I can't seem to figure how to get the top fabric lower so her head isn't covered but still supporting neck. I can easily see her face looking down but feel she's a bit buried. I folded it twice inward as advised. I had the belt a lot lower and it was the same. Looser straps I feel would make baby looser. She's 15d old and just over 7lb.. is she just too little?

Going part time at work versus leave of absence

Baby is 2 weeks, I get 13 weeks of leave total and I'm already dreading going back... mostly because my husband is a medical student and will be on away rotations for 3.5 months total toward the end of the year on and off. After this his schedule really lightens up so I really just need to get through those months and I'll have him back to help a lot. So I will basically be a single mom with little village (I have some friends and some church family for help if needed) for 3.5 months as we are 13 hours from family. I will be having some family come into town on and off during this time but only for a few weeks.

we make enough between my hourly pay and my husband gets a 2k military stipends where I could go part time, but money would be very tight. I think then it could be manageable... however I am not sure if my work with allow it. They love me as an employee but they know I'm likely leaving in 11 months anyway after my husband graduates school so not sure if they will be willing accommodate me. I do have a daily rate daycare tied down so that will work.

The other option is taking a one month leave of absence where I wouldn't get paid. Not sure which my job will be more open to that.

Has any moms done this when they went back? Anyone advice/tips/feedback is appreciated.

Newborn grunting/loud noises all night

First time mom here. My baby is 13d old, EBF, term baby. Shes an incredibly grunty baby all day, but at night after 30-45 minutes of silent sleep in the bassinet, she wakes up and has on and off loud noises anywhere from grunting, moaning, weak cries. She will be silent for a couple minutes then start up again. She really doesn't escalate to full on crying. I was waking her every time this started, in which she usually stops the noise when picked up. Sometimes she sleepy feeds or will do a full feeding depending on when I last fed her, sometimes she is still asleep and won't feed. Her eyes are usually closed with the episodes, so I've now tried to sleep through them in which can't.

I have tried mylicon drops, bicycles, keeping upright for 10 minutes after feedings. I'm wondering if swaddling her is an issue because she's very wiggly during her fussing.

I can't sleep unless my mom or husband has her outside the room. I understand babies are fussy and loud, but this seems excessive. I hate ignoring the noises. Any tips are appreciated. She has a weight check Tuesday in which I plan on asking her pediatrician.
