Casual fan here: ASTY wore my ass out
Listened to the whole album 3 times at work today. First listen was the best, next two felt fatiguing.
I appreciate how crass, thick, dirty, and over saturated the sound is. Super unique, and a great departure from the over-produced into crystal clear perfection most modern metal is doing now.
On the other hand, it kind of wore me down over time. There are some clean and ambient guitar phrases that acted as a palate cleanser in a few songs, but that gets immediately negated by the speaker-thumping bass drum and hissy cymbals. I'd imagine that's what they were going for, but the thing about intensity is it's relative only to what surrounds it. Punch, kick, hug in repetition would make anyone give up after a while.
Again, I'm only a casual Loathe fan. The albums I listened to before ASTY, other than the lo-fi one, had plenty of anger and ferocity but I don't ever remember hoping that a phrase ends soon bc it's wearing me out.
Regardless, Loathe seems like they have their own niche carved out in the metal community, and not many bands can honestly say that. You can obviously hear influences in their writing, but I can't think of another band that sounds anything like Loathe.

Potentially lame, but kind of funny idea for the upcoming tour
The most regular concert attire tends to be a black shirt with a band name on it, some lower half of the body covering, and shoes.
What if we all wore straight up all white clothes instead to celebrate A Pale White Dot?
Either that or a Teletubby style cap that has a spring attached with a little white ball attached on top like from a cat toy like in the picture?

Negative comments regarding cosmetic additions and/or how pointless they are is peak soft dick. The crowd of "OEM only, function over form" hoes need a hug or their thumbs super glued to their palms.
Who gives a fuck if someone wants to customize their vehicle to look different and stand out? It's not a waste of money if it makes someone happy.
It's also not your money, but if you're the type that practices what they preach and are down to be told exactly how to spend yours, hit me up and I'll get you into the best fitting clown shoes money can buy 🤡
I swear some of y'all act like you live in a 150 sq ft chicken shack, fashion your clothes from burlap sacks, and have never gotten a haircut/shave, because anything beyond that is pointless, amirite?
Point being, we ALL do things that set ourselves apart from others, both intentionally and unintentionally. Embrace the occasional madness, encourage mild insanity, release the Epstein files, and try breathing through your nose occasionally.
