Hotel recommendations near lakeside

Hi everyone,
A group of us are planning a trip to Pokhara soon. We are looking for a reliable, comfortable, and affordable hotel to stay at near the Lakeside area.

Ideally, we are looking for a place that offers:
• Good Views: Decent views of the lake or mountains if possible.
• Meal Packages (MAP/CP): Base pricing options that include both breakfast and dinner (or at least a very good breakfast package).
• Budget-Friendly: Clean, nice aesthetics, but won't break the bank.

I recently heard about a local booking platform called Basiyo, but I am not entirely sure how reliable they are for booking hotels or if their listed prices are accurate. Has anyone here used them before? How was your experience?

Also, unrelated to the hotel meal plans, where can we find the absolute best authentic Nepali Thali (Khana Set) around Lakeside or nearby? We definitely want to experience a great local meal while we are there.

If you have any specific hotel recommendations near Lakeside that fit this description, could you please drop the names along with their estimated price per night?

Thanks in advance for the help!

What am I worth and where should I be applying? Looking for honest feedback

Hey folks, throwing this out here because I'm genuinely curious what the market thinks.

I've been doing full-stack development for 2+ years. Here's a quick breakdown:

What I've actually built:

– A full LMS (learning management system) with video uploads and streaming

– A real estate listing platform

– A trekking/tourism site

– An e-commerce store

– A blog/content site with SEO

– A booking system with a proper checkout flow

On the backend side:

– Set up video upload systems (chunked uploads to S3, video encoding for smooth playback on any device)

– Built booking backends that handle high traffic without double-booking or data issues

– Handled scaling load balancing, caching, making sure things don't fall over under load

– Set up and secured VPS servers from scratch (SSH hardening, firewall, deployments)

– CI/CD with GitHub Actions

Automation:

– Built pipelines that auto-post to social media and handle DMs using n8n and Meta APIs

Stack:

TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, React, Vue, Vite, Next.js, React Router, React Native, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase, Prisma, Drizzle, Docker, Tailwind

Two questions I genuinely want answered:

  1. What's a fair salary range for this kind of profile for remote international jobs and also local market?

  2. What companies or platforms should I actually be targeting right now?

  3. What should I be focusing on learning next to make myself more hireable or to level up as a developer? Is there something missing from my stack or skill set that you'd expect at this stage?
