Looking for the Girl Who Always Knows the Tea !

Someone who is always on top of pop culture, gossip, memes and random internet moments before they go viral.

Could be a Ravi Kishan meme template, Rebel Kid soft-launching Amin Jaz, some random celebrity gossip or literally anything that the internet is talking about.

We’re a music marketing agency and use these cultural moments to scale songs, so we’re looking for someone who can spot these things early and has a good sense of what can actually go viral.

Media background is a plus, but honestly, if you’re just very active online and know your pop culture, that works too.

Paid role. DM me for details :)

Looking for Creative Spotify Playlist Curators | Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil & Malayalam

Looking for 3–4 Spotify playlist curators who have a strong understanding of music and can create creative, engaging, and audience-friendly playlists.

We’re specifically looking for curators with expertise across different languages:

  1. Hindi

  2. Punjabi

  3. Malayalam

  4. Tamil

The idea is to create playlists that go beyond the usual genre-based curation and have fun, creative concepts that people would genuinely want to listen to and share.

For example, instead of a generic “Bollywood Party Songs” playlist, something like “Chatpate Gaane” for item songs — playlists with a catchy concept, name, theme, and strong music selection.

This is for our label, and we’re looking for people who can bring their own creativity and understanding of music to build interesting playlists for different audiences.

If you’re someone who is obsessed with music, understands what audiences enjoy, and loves coming up with creative playlist concepts, we’d love to hear from you.

Why do most creative/smart people leave Ahmedabad for Mumbai?

I recently started noticing something that I found quite interesting.

A lot of the genuinely talented people I’ve come across in media, marketing, music, content, advertising, etc. in Ahmedabad seem to leave the city almost immediately after completing their internship or getting 1–2 years of experience.

And I’m honestly curious, why?

Ahmedabad seems to have a lot going for it right now. • GIFT City is growing rapidly. • A lot of companies are setting up offices here. • Companies like Odoo have a major presence/HQ here. • There are plenty of startups and established businesses. • Salaries in some sectors are actually pretty decent. • Infrastructure and quality of life are arguably better than Mumbai/Delhi. • Cost of living is significantly lower. • And Ahmedabad has produced some pretty interesting consumer brands — René Cosmetics, Pintola, SNITCH, etc.

Yet when someone is ambitious and wants to build a career in media, entertainment, advertising, music, fashion, creators or pop culture, the default advice still seems to be:

“Move to Mumbai.”

I understand why Mumbai has an advantage. The entertainment ecosystem, agencies, production houses, labels, creators, brands, investors, etc. are all concentrated there.

But I’m wondering if that’s the only reason.

Is Ahmedabad genuinely lacking opportunities for creative careers, or are we simply lacking the ecosystem and network that makes people want to stay?

Would you stay in Ahmedabad if there were enough serious creative companies, better career opportunities, interesting people and a strong media/entertainment ecosystem here?

Or is moving to Mumbai simply an unavoidable part of building a serious creative career in India?

Genuinely curious to hear from people who have moved from Ahmedabad to Mumbai , what made you leave?
