The Bloodline is in the Bottom of the 7th inning… And it’s awesome
That’s all.
That’s all.
Who do you guys have winning MITB?
I think I have four candidates
Omega vs Naito 2 G1 Climax 27 finals.
Before AEW, when the whole world wanted a second promotion; NJPW did that… Naito is a once in a lifetime superstar and would be seen as such if he was American/spoke English.
I’m a huge fan of Rey Mysterio and his “Giant Killer” gimmick, it makes sense. This guy is so quick and skilled he can defeat those much bigger than him. But realistically it works for someone like Rey or Bryan or even Darby for that matter. The issue is when every 5’8 guys defeats Powerhouse Hobbs or Brian Cage…
That being said, if you were booking how many “Giant Killers” would you allow on your brand?
Who are the best “Giant Killers” today? And what makes them believable.
P.S.
To be clear a Giant killer is a small guy who can match up with Big guys and give you the idea they will win. This comes in many different styles, Eddie was 5’8 but jacked outta of his gills, Rey had speed beyond belief, Adam Cole… uhhhh
Hey guys I know a lot of people are disillusioned about WWE and even more with AEW… what would you guys think of as an ever growing community, promoting and taking about a third company like we do WWE and AEW.
I’m not talking about becoming the indie hub or anything like that. Just one company that we believe is presenting a good product and posting clips, show threads etc for them. Odds are the same people performing on those shows will be WWE or AEW talent in the future (or previously were)
So if this is an idea you guys are interested in, then what promotion?
One of the former number 2 promotions TNA? NJPW? NWA?
One of the up and coming promotions MLW? 4th Rope? GCW?
What about one of the three Indian companies even?
What major regular season accolades do you see for our boys next year?
Obviously Wemby is going to be in the running for MVP (is this the year he wins?), and the favorite to be DPOY and 1st team again. But what about the rest of the team?
I can see Castle getting an All Defense nod along with his first all star game (he was close last year and had to be one of the next up due if more injuries occurred).
I can see Fox being an all star again.
I can see Harper winning 6th man of the year with increased minutes.
What do you guys think?
Over the past few years the two world titles have mostly been around the waist of WWE’s current big 3 (Reigns, Rhodes and Punk) however in that same time there have been a litany of first time champs.
Gunther, Priest, Jey USO and of course Sami Zayn.
So barring the next generations big 3 who are destined for greatness (Oba, Dom, Trick), who is the next first time champion that you see?
Can Chad Gable with his new babyface character win the big one? Is it finally La knights time? Does a youngster that I haven’t mentioned like Carmelo or Bron Breakker improve to the point of being a realistic world champ? Does someone like Royce Keys come out of left field and get a hall of pain type of run?
Discuss
Edit: yes like many of you I think it will be Oba next but that’s no fun. Exclude him trick and Dom
Tony Khan was given an estimate $100m from his papa to start up AEW.
Let’s say you are some celebrity billionaire working with a $25m budget (1/4th of AEW’s starting point) how do you pivot from there? You can buy out any contract out of any company (mind you with a buyout clause, so let’s say Seth Rollins makes 3m a year in WWE you would have to pay double that to buy him out of his contract, get rights to his stage name and sign him to a deal).
Who are your top stars? Who is your head booker? What young Indy or international talents do you sign to lead your future? How would you create a long lasting developmental brand? How long do you think it could take to become number 2 (and take AEW’s spot?), how do you promote your superstars to the mainstream? And most importantly how do you rival WWE’s name brand on a global stage?
No wrong answers here just opinions. I know I would build everything around Oba personally… but let me know what you all think

The current most popular Basketball podcast reviews an AEW clip. The 520 boys are frequent guests at WWE events.
Does this further display the gap between the IWC and “casual” wrestling fans?
Roku has a live channel for law and order I’m sure plenty of you know this. I initially put it on to comfort my Dog when I left home (I tried a few shows but for some reason he sits by the tv comfortably for law and order) and found out how great the show was by osmosis. I’ve seen almost every episode of the first 10 seasons…
Where do I go from here? Do I continue to watch the original? Do I watch SVU? Criminal intent?
No wrong answers I just want the opinion of the community. How do I follow up on the greatness of these first 10 seasons?
Which company has used him better? He was always seen as “the most underrated” and a potential future world champion but that window seems gone.
Did WWE book him up to his talent level? Has AEW done any better?
Reposted so I can add the link
I made a post yesterday asking who the best Female Wrestler in the world is; there were a lot of opinions about who it is; the biggest disparity was between those who rated Japanese based Joshi wrestlers high and low.
Saya is the biggest Japanese based Joshi wrestler at the moment and held their main belt for a year and a half before recently dropping it. One of the main categories on the topic of best Woman Wrestler was aura, so please allow this 3 minute video to demonstrate Saya Kamitani’s…
This is what cool looks like, this is what aura is next time someone tries to say Thekla has aura remember this video.
We aren’t going to talk about yesterday…
A lot of the discourse today has been about our young players and their roles going forward next year. This is mainly in relation to Dylan (and to a lesser extent Stephon and Wemby)
However there hasn’t been very much discourse about Carter’s potential growth. The Knicks showed what two great two way wings in OG and Bridges can do; and a strong 4 was definitely something we were missing the entire year.
Does Carter take the next step and become that kind of player? Does he become just a solid rotational piece? Does he take over Barnes’ role?
Accounting for EVERYTHING that matters Marketability, “work rate”, mic skills, Aura, looks (not necessarily attractiveness but someone like Asuka is a lot more believable as your top champion then say Riho) and overall connection to the fans.
I think there are maybe 7 or so women you could argue. I know some of them aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but you could still argue for them
WWE: Rhea Ripley (probably the favorite), Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan and Iyo Shirai
AEW: Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm
Stardom: Saya Kamitani
Who do guys think anybody else in that conversation? Who would you select personally?
Hey Reddit, long time Spurs fan here (that 1% baby) and I haven’t felt Sports Heartbreak like Game 4; since 2013… I took some time to process things and here are some of the main takeaways I hope we can all look at logically.
We are way ahead of schedule, my post history is public. My very first ever post was about being ahead of schedule way back in December. Let’s relax regardless of the outcome of this series everyone should be so proud of our Young Spurs.
Wemby is not perfect. I’m one of the biggest offenders of this narrative. He is a Super Duper Star with potential to be the Greatest Player of all time (yes even better then Timmy) but his flaws have been shown this series. I’m happy he has stepped up to the challenge physically (getting held and battered non stop) but he still has to learn to take things slow…
We have all known De’Aaron is probably gone after Summer 2027 for a while. We knew once the max contracts started to kick in for our young core that De’Aaron was the odd man out; nobody thought he was a top 5 guard or something but (even with his recent failures) he has done his job and brought veteran leadership to the team; the thing we couldn’t predict was Harper’s (and to a lesser extent Castle) growth. I’ve said it a million times I saw Spurs vs Nuggets Wemby Jokic OT showdown; Harper is the truth he is already better then Fox and Jamal Murray the eye test proved it… Fox has done the job we asked him to and more. Do I wish he was better? Of course but realistically not many trades we could make for him
Mitch isn’t a good coach but let’s give him time… He just isn’t, I remember when Mike Brown used to get made fun of as a coach and for him to be viewed as a genius right now is crazy. I don’t know how many times during that run I was screaming to call a timeout… Mitch is not a good coach right now but I remember Spoelstra being compared the same way; regardless of what we think a rookie coach has taken us to the NBA finals so we owe him time to figure out the team and himself.
We need a power forward or an upgrade on the backup 5. I don’t know if Keldon or Barnes are the answer going forward, and hopefully Carter will be a lot more mature next year (I hope). But the biggest glaring flaw on our roster is Wemby’s inability to play with another big. There have been times when Kornet has been huge for us but his inability to play with Wemby in the playoffs has hurt us a ton; we need a big a level above him (think Hartenstein) or a really good 4 to match with him (hoping Carter becomes this) but right now it’s a huge weakness; if we had a better back up 5 or an elite 4 Wemby would not be playing 44 minutes…
Jalen Brunson is just an incredible player, both in game 1 and this game he made some absolutely ridiculous shots that you can’t even hate on. Sometimes you have to acknowledge greatness when you see it (same with Vic obviously)
Go Spurs Go we can still win this 🩶🖤🩶
