New personal record for oldest Mainline found on the regular retail pegs.

The new record is 9 years old for Speedy Perez. Definitely a return. The previous record was 6 years old, and I'm pretty sure Rockin Santa Sled was six years on the same peg of that small town drugstore.

The picture of the pegs is where I found it.

Oh no thanks, already got one. But I will take one of those Draculas, an RTH, a Porsche with shitty QC and wow, Matchbox does it again.

The pics are today. I already have a Dino. I only took the Porsche because it might have a hit of acid in the backseat, and somebody barfed out the window. I also got the RTH and F1 from the bin. That's all.

The Kool Kombi could be used for lethal slingshot ammo. Fucking heavy little nugget. I love this thing in the hands. Best Dracula? Count Frightenstein in my books. He's Canadian.

And I got 1000s of miles driving a Ford Courier being a Courier. Beautiful Matchbox cards and trucks. I had to have one of each available.

Most RTHs I've ever seen in one day. And I still can't find the blue '67 Austin Mini Van. Peg pics included. The Orange one taunts me.

I want to find the Blue '67 Austin Mini Van to complete the 2025 Art Cars Series. I also need the Turquoise Ain't Fare. Then it's complete, all from the wild.

Damned Orange one was everywhere.

But seeing five RTHs in one trip was a trip. A mom bought the one from the bin for an excited kid. (Long story short.) The last picture is what I kept.

In the eye of the Radar Deep Purple again.

One of these times there's going to be debris in that wind. This was really wow again.

I freed one 32 years ago. Then I freed another one today.

These'll be werth something someday, I thought. Still waiting. Excluding my wild find soups 'n chases, nothing I have has appreciated. Except me, I appreciate...

Great find!!

Check it out. Prestine condition. No creases in the flaps. Bottom packing tape is still intact. No big shipping labels. Great score! I even got the heavy paper divider.

Local grocery store had a partial box on the shelf by the pegs. So I emptied the box onto the pegs and walked out with the box.

Full disclosure: I do have duplicate boxes, but I did leave the other box behind for the next hunter. Although its bottom tape was cut and the flaps were creased from box folding. I think it was me who did that a week and a half ago. The top flaps were already creased, so I figured no harm in cutting the bottom tape and box folding the flaps after I was done. The Mailed it! RTH was on the pegs. I left it.

But today, new box! And Mailed it! RTH on the pegs again (or still on the pegs?). But all I wanted was the box. I know some people aren't into newer brown boxes, but for me....

And then rando pics of some cars I have.

My favourite Super of the year.

For NA domestics, I like GM, Ford, then Dodge, and AMC. It seems like HW makes more Dodges than anything else from NA. So I think Dodge moves up my like list.

Last year I had to have Sumthin’ Funny? This year I had to have the Cuda. It's magnificent.

I had a front row seat. I'll post a Radar GIF as well.

That was fascinatingly scary. The power was out until 1am.

I just figured out I can spell the 2025 Art Cars Phrase, and with a couple of unique variations. CJ here I come!

Sadly I'm celling the majority of my collection on MP. Someone asked if I had Art Cars letters L, Y, and E. I looked through what I had and only found a Y on Mailed It!. I also have 2021 Art Cars Rocket Oil Special for the heart ❤️ character.

Then I found this Reddit. Then I excitedly dug the cars out of the closet. I was hunting in my own closet and found Hot Wheels Treasure I didn't know I had.

I think the British car is driving on the wrong side of the road, along with Long Bloc. That's Art.

These were all found in the wild. I found the error cars last fall. I found the Super this past late spring at a Giant Tiger wire bin.

AAANNDD, I'm only two easy variants away from having a complete set of 2025 Art Cars. HA! easy to find variants he says.... This happens to all of us, now that I want an easy one, I won't find it anywhere. I need Ain't Fare and the Brit Mini Van variants. I've seen them a million times.

On a side note, Next time I'm going to empty these into my laundry basket. Then I'll fish out the cars I need. Gimme the Bin Shark experience at home.

Team Transport Mix 'N Match. And why the Disneyland Castle is similar.

The bottom of the Disneyland castle is bigger and fatter than castle spec. The top is smaller and taller than castle spec. The original Sleeping Beauty Castle was 77 feet tall, but it looked about 150 feet tall to most people.

Your brain doesn't measure height, it judges proportions. Diecast does the same thing. They exaggerate proportions because our brains think it looks more realistic.

The 61 Impala that comes with this team transport is 1:64, but the truck is way off. It looks to me like it's based on an early 60s GMC medium duty truck, 300~350. The nose is short, the roof is chopped, the body is wider, the wheels are way too big, and the deck is super wide.

If it were a true 1:64 GMC 350 Car Hauler with team colours, me and you wouldn't buy it because it would look funny with a 1:64 car sitting on it.

A real car hauler has six to eight inches from the wheels to the edge of the deck. That would make the car look like it was about to fall off at 1:64 scale.

Diecast may change width, height, length, wheel size, this, that and the other thing to keep proportions looking good.

Is this where peg warmers go to die?

This is at a Toys R Us. I've heard stories that the peg warmers get collected and taken away. I don't know if that's true.

I had a Safeway manager tell me they'd never buy Hot Wheels again because the peg warmers sat forever. She bought more and ended up with even more peg warmers, then she marked everything down and swore she'd never stock Hot Wheels again.

I'm curious, where do peg warmers go to die?

I had buyers remorse on one of these. Then I opened it.

I did free a Mad Mike Wagon a lot of Fridays ago. But I gave that one to my brother last weekend. So I opened the 'and one to keep carded' one today.

The Forza GT was also given away recently, so it's not shown here.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 is amazing to hold. It's so black I had to put a little extra light on it for the picture. It's so black you can't keep the dust off of it for a picture. Not really into this kind of car, but I would've never noticed the badass lines if I kept it in the package. No Regerts now.

Skill shot.

They were due for a drop. I really like the cars and trucks with painted headlights and taillights. In the HotWheels app, of the 2026 Mainlines listed so far, I count 16ish cars with headlights and taillights (not counting alts).

It's a FOMO subcategory that I must resist. Or buy Matchbox.

Sooo.. These aren't toys until I open them?

A toy is an object made for play. I got these objects recently.

I keep them in a drawer, I take them out of the drawer, I enjoy them, I rack them and stack them, feel them, touch them, track them with an app. Dust them, admire them. Shuffle them some more and then back in the drawer.

That's playing with my toys, right? Enjoying my collection?

I like them open too.

I keep them in a drawer, I take them out of the drawer, I enjoy them, I rack them and stack them, feel them, touch them. Dust them, admire them. Shuffle them some more and then back in the drawer.

That's playing with my toys right? Enjoying my collection?

The card is half the object. Fine Car Art. The car is preserved, frozen in time. Its own air bubble of vehicular freshness.

We can also toss the package and send this sucker down the track.

Interaction style may differ, but we still be playing with our toys.

Po-tay-to,

Po-tah-to,

Fer-are--ie,

Fee-are-oh.

TL;DR: My Haul.

While opening them, I'm like wait, what, is this a Chase?

Google is not helpful. It's being sold as a chase, but I can't find anybody talking about it.

I bought them to free them. Once I got home, I noticed the chase numbers. I think it's a chase, but I don't know M2 stuff. Well actually, I do know one thing about M2, people say only old people buy M2. Probably because you can't send this shit down the track. But it sure is pretty.

If it is a chase, I do kind of feel like it's a poor man's chase. I don't know if I got that right or not.

Any insight here, please?

I kept checking a Walmart that was way overdue. They held on to their peg warmers to the bitter end. Yesterday I went there but they were closed. Guess why.

So today I went, and sure enough, a new cardboard three bin bin. None of the cards were crinkled. No blood either. Probably would have been better yesterday. The Ford F-100 Ranger was in this bin. Great find, I was looking for it.

Anyways...So many cars look better when they get the Matchbox treatment.

I bought the Matchbox Moving Parts 1992 Buick Roadmaster Estate to open. So ugly it's beautiful. Then I thought I'd go back the next day to get one for my brother cause they had a few.

The Roadmaster was sold out. Everything else was still there. So I bought the trans am to open.

I've been loving the 1:64 wagons since I was a kid in the 70s.

I'm at the Walmart selfcheck realizing I forgot the chips for the big game. Okay this is a perfect excuse for one more stop on the way home.

I go to the Dollar Tree for some chips and a hunt, but they close at 7? What the hell, who does that? This isn't Saskatchewan.

Okay, one more shot still on the way home. The drugstore for some chips and a hunt. So I get the chips and go around the checkout pony wall and BAM! Thank you, Fresh drop.

She said she just put them out. No THs, because its true, not every case comes with a TH. So these are the ones I got. So hard to leave the rest. I would've got them for you, but..... you know. Logistics.

Has this ever happened to you?
