Go back to the Xiaomi 15 or move to the Vivo X300?

Hey!

I used to have a Xiaomi 15 and I was thrilled with it, but it gave me two issues: the same video lag I already experienced with the Xiaomi 13, and a CPU failure.

Because of that, I bought a second-hand Vivo X200 Pro. The phone is amazing, but it’s huge; it doesn't fit in my pocket, which is a dealbreaker for me. Since I'm still within the return window, I'm considering two compact options: going back to the Xiaomi 15 for 450€ or stepping up to the Vivo X300 (base model) for 610€.

I’ve been researching for days and I can’t figure out if that price difference is worth it. I'm seeing very mixed reviews about the X300. The camera is crucial for me: I use it to record my DJ sets and I love photography, especially using the 3.7x zoom (the one on the X200 blows me away), and ideally, shooting in Log profile.

What do you guys think?

Thank

Compact alternatives to the Vivo x200 Pro with great camera and battery?

Hey everyone! I

just got the Vivo x200 Pro and, while it’s an amazing phone, it's just too big and heavy for my hands. I'm looking for a more compact and ergonomic alternative that doesn't compromise on camera quality and battery life (2024 or 2025 models are totally fine). I previously had the Xiaomi 15, which was the perfect size, but the CPU failed so I want to avoid Xiaomi this time around. Any recommendations for something more hand-friendly?

Thanks!

How should I mix Splice samples into DJ edits for Afro House?

Hey,

I’m looking to start making custom DJ edits for my Afro House sets because I often find tracks I love that just need a little extra energy or a better intro to work with my 2-deck setup. I’m planning to pull samples and loops from Splice to layer over the original tracks, but I’m a bit stuck on the technical side.

I know the original song is already professionally mixed and mastered, but what exactly do I need to do to the new samples so they sit right in the mix? Is it enough to just level them by ear, or is it absolutely necessary to dive into heavy EQing and compression to make sure the edit doesn't sound muddy or amateur when played out on a club system?

I use Ableton.

Thanks

Adding a secondary MIDI controller for RMX effects with my FLX4?

Hey guys, I'm currently using a DDJ-FLX4 with Rekordbox and I'm looking to add a secondary MIDI controller to use it basically as an RMX unit. I want to have those build-ups and breakdowns like the RMX-1000 but I'm struggling to find a good tutorial for this specific setup.

I’ve looked around and I'm not sure if I should just dive into the MIDI mapping settings or if there’s a better way to do it. Does anyone know if there's a specific guide for this or if I'm just supposed to map everything manually? Any advice or links to videos would be a lifesaver.

I the FLX4 and Behringer X-TOUCH MINI and has knobs.

Thanks!
