I’m about to give up. I’m making a fangame for a popular fandom and it’s a huge passion project for me. I’ve been using Instagram to promote the project and have about 1386 followers. It was started in January and my posts were doing great then. They weren’t going viral, but they did decently well. The best one reached 17k over time, but most averaged 4000 views. Ever since February they started to go bad, and now they barely go past 1000. I’ve followed tons of advice, tried shortening the length, changed my reel editing, did everything I could to make them more eye-catching but it all FAILS. Trial reels don’t help at all, they hardly go past 300 views. Today I posted multiple trial reels and they’re all failing. I don’t know what to do.

The people who followed me love the content I’m sharing of my fangame. They’re excited and supportive so I know it’s not my content itself. But Instagram REFUSES to push it out to non followers even if I use trial reels. I’ve checked my settings and nothing is weird, I’ve checked my account status and it looks fine.

This is beginning to affect my mental health. I’ve started h*rting myself because I feel like the app wants me to suffer and I deserve it. But I don’t know what I did wrong. I just wanted to make people happy with my game content.

What do I do? How do I fix this?
