Whenever I come across the phrase “I finished this book in one sitting,” I can’t help but wonder why I’m not able to do that.

I’ve read some fantastic, fast paced, gripping books but I’ve never been able to go beyond 100 pages in a single sitting or even in a day. And whenever I do push past that, I end up feeling mentally exhausted no matter how good the book is.

Ik it probably has something to do with my reading speed and concentration.

I have a question for people who do finish books in one sitting. Let’s say it’s a 250 pages book, how many hours does it usually take you to finish it?

Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not trying to compete or rush through books. I read at my own pace and enjoy them. I was just curious about how long it takes for people who actually finish books in one sitting.
