Hear me out: Grok is Jurassic Park

Watched Jurassic Park for the millionth time last night and the part where Malcom is grilling Hammond about the park really stuck out to me

"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here, it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you wanna sell it."

They built this system as fast and as huge as they could make it. Poured money into it to make the most impressive AI on the biggest compute cluster ever seen. But the problem is they didn't have a handle on any of it. Before it was properly tested and vetted they threw it out into the world with zero cares for the consequences. They sold people a product that they couldn't possibly sustain. Now there's backlash because of the CSAM material that was produced and there's backlash over the fake nudes of real people. Both of those things were obviously going to happen. They're losing money on it because video generation is expensive. Because no shit. They don't have an infrastructure set up to provide any support to their customers. They constantly have outages and heavy load times because it doesn't scale but at the same time they're using it for who know wtf else in the background. Your paying customers are leaving in droves because there's no communication and are being treated like beta testers.

As a result you've now got a situation where the fences went down and the raptors are running loose in the park. Elon is going to get on the helicopter and wipe his hands of this whole situation soon and not give a single fuck about all the people he pissed off.
