Favorite salon

I know it varies from person to person but for those with more experience, which salon environment was your favorite? I've currently only worked at 2, a vet clinic and the typical corporate, obviously the corporate was terrible but I also did not like the vet clinic. I'm interviewing at small mom and pop shops atm, a couple of them higher end salons, but I'm also interested in a dog daycare setting and working from home. Tia

Hate work with a passion

Hate isnt a strong enough word, and I've decided in the near future all I want to be is a stay at home mom.

I dont care what anyone thinks, I don't care what anyone says, cause while everyone is bitching about people who dont work and have the luxury to stay home all day I will be happily at home with the people I love. Not to say being a mom wont be hard, but I know I will be 1000 times happier at home than I will be anywhere else. This is my ultimate goal in life.

RJ OCD

Long story short, me and my fiance met through a mutual friend (that was having a FWB, casual relationship, whatever you want to call it) together and although the jealously issues have subsided, everytime I talk to my fiance I get reminded of my friend's name (ex-friend).

What's annoying is its literally just her name, its been driving me nuts, and I dont know what to do.

I know this is part of some sort of OCD , and I hate it. Has anyone gone through anyone similar?

Has anyone..

Actually enjoyed a job they've done before? Ive personally had over 10 jobs in my lifetime and hated literally every single one of them, theres only been 1 job that I've been able to handle that doesn't make me have a breakdown everyday, and thats my current job (that I'm still gonna quit very soon).

Not to mention I don't even work full time! Like how do people actually work full-time? Im lucky I have a partner that has a good paying job otherwise I would probably be out on the streets for real

Quitting

I'm gonna quit by the end of the year, I dont care if I have another job lined up. Im sick of this shit, I'm tired of being the person who gets yelled at all day, I'm so tired of coming home literally depleted of energy, I'm tired of waking up every morning feeling like death. I just need to stick it out to save a little bit more and then I'm out.

Burnt out

I'm basically just exhausted at this point, passed exhaustion really. I've been grooming for 2 years and I want out. It seems like every decision I make is a bad one that will get me yelled at when its not my fault. ( I work at corporate btw). Basically having to run my own salon, answer calls, book appts, take walk ins, and get yelled at and belittled because I couldn't groom a crazy 6 month old puppy even though its not my fault, and a hundred more reasons on top of that. I'm tired. I'm burnt out. I put my heart and soul in this job and get treated this way.

Are there any groomers that chose a completely different career path? Because I'm almost at that point. I know I AT LEAST need to find a different salon otherwise I will have nervous breakdown.
