One Month of Quareia

What I've Recognized

The mind is the most important regarding magick and even daily life.

My mind is always busy with something. When the fate brings you somewhere where we should listen, being still and silent are the most important skills one can have. Achieving this goal isn't easy and it requires plenty of practice of meditation. But we, at least I, put hindrances on my path.

I play a lot of video games. It became my relaxation and escaped place after work. My mind gets tired easily and meditation becomes incredibly hard for me to manage, thus the reason for video games. It is very easy to do, just open up your pc or your phone and get lost for hours. That's the thing though...

Being able to bore to death is a unique skill. I think one should practice it. Everything just attacks you, there's literal heaviness on your chest. But that's where the creative work starts. We are so addicted to constant stimulus, we are unable to sit still. What I've learned from my work with Quareia is that stillness is much more important than being able to conjure spirits.

I will uninstall all my gaming library, will try to find more creative hobbies and will try to focus on the task at hand more. Practice of meditation is very important for sure, but I think being mindful and still in day to day work teaches you more.

I Have Few Questions

I know those questions are unrelated to each other sorry about that. But I'm really interested in some of them. Thank you for your time.

  1. Any army personnel in here and still practicing

Quareia?

  1. Any religious people especially Buddhist or Christian here, how did Quareia affect your practices?

  2. Any artist here who practices Quareia? How are you using your art magically?

I Need Recommendations for Apps

Hello,

I posted in r/catholicism recently. I will be practicing the faith. But I'm afraid to buy a bible or a rosary, my family are Muslims if they found out I don't want any more stress in my life than already is. So I was thinking, maybe apps? Any catholic in here that would suggest good apps for my practice. I'll walk in secret, may the Lord open my heart and teach me the secrets of secrets, amen. Till I find a proper church, I have to practice in secrecy.

Where Can I Start?

Hello,

I want to become a Christian, and catholicism just does something to my heart. But I don't know what my next step should be. People say I should get in contact with a church but I can't do that, I live in a Muslim country, Turkey. There are catholic churches in Turkey such as İstanbul and İzmir but I'm way far away from them. I'm a 26 year old male English teacher. But I still live with my parents, because of the financial struggle in my country, it is too hard for me to even rent an apartment. But I know one day this will end.

I can probably visit a church this summer but I can do it only once, like I said, financial issues. What would be your recommendations? Should I still start practicing? Or should I wait? How can I start?

Mysticism Beyond Dogma

When I look into religions as a historical and academic standpoint, the story of religions changes from God revealed it to man made it. In some religions, there's almost no archeological evidence, only after hundreds of years later of the founders death that we see those archeological evidences. So I asked myself, what's the point of believing in a religion then?

When I checked the exoteric teachings and primary sources of each religion, almost all of them are different. The number of hells and heavens differ, the amount of angels differs, even their descriptions differ. What angels are in Abrahamic traditions is completely different from dharmic religions.

But when I check the esotericism, that gap closes. Especially when I read the mystics of each religion. They are almost saying the same things. Those dogmatic ideas turn something else in their hands. God becomes not an outside being, the universe turns into a whole not a place created for Adam. How do they do it? How does a person from a dogmatic tradition become a mystic?

Whether a religion created out of necessities or someone's personal experience, whomever works with an open mind and heart, the path leads to the same place. It is not even religion that does it, whether it be science, art or a job they work in, it can turn into this mystical path.

It is not the dressing of a religion that turns man and woman into a mystic, but something in ourselves that does it. Whether you walk, speak, eat or drink, just being mindful, choosing mindful, listening mindful will change something in you. Establishing a connection to something greater than you, having patience, compassion, and helping yourself and your environment in service... To me it is Quareia, to someone else it is maybe art, but real work is in ourselves.

May we all be mindful.

Buddhism to Islam

Hello,

Are any ex Buddhists here converted to Islam? If so, what was the turning point for you? How do you make peace with believing in a God now (which in Buddhism there's no God)?

Thank you, I'm interested because I'm interested in the perspective of a Muslim.

What to Say Instead of Hallelujah?

Hello again,

I recognized that some people unconsciously say hallelujah, oh god, oh my god, even after they changed their religion. For me, it was alhamdulillah, inshallah, wallahi etc. I want to change that and be mindful about my words much more. Are there such similar expressions in Buddhism that I can replace with?

For example, what does a Buddhist say when they feel grateful for the life they've been given?

Or when they express protection or help?

Or when they're afraid and shocked?

I couldn't seem to find anything, I may ask AI but I really don't trust it. Thanks.

Is Buddhism...

Hello,

I wish you all happiness, kindness, compassion, health and joy. I love you all, no matter your age, your profession or your background, life isn't easy. I hope you find your way out.

I'm trying to find my way out too and my path leads me to Buddhism. But I have some confusion.

I read about Buddhism and the afterlife and found out about lower realms and higher realms. It makes more sense to me than the Abrahamic religions. But I kinda find it hard to believe some specific actions that lead someone to higher or lower realms. I think those aspects are cultural, like doing some specific mantra or action over and over will cause rebirth in higher realms etc. Is it okay to not believe those and such cultural add-ons?

Second and a small thing is, I love Martial Arts practicing kickboxing for two years now. I'm not a particularly violent person but I would certainly defend myself if necessary. I have an opinion, maybe wrong but I seem to think Buddhism is pacifism. Can you elaborate more on Buddhism and violence, I need an opinion from practioners.

I practiced lots of paths, but only Buddhism seems to have doctrines of escaping from this Matrix.

Thanks again.

Help Me Create a Roadmap

Hello,

My name is Servet. I'm from Türkiye. It's impossible for me to find a temple for initiation and it's been said that Golden Dawn is group orientated.

Maybe my fate will bring about a change and I may find a temple in the future but till that day, I have to start doing the work. But I don't know how, seriously.

I tried to look in this sub but I got more confused, some said Lyam Christopher is fine for loners, or Cicero books, or that book, or this book etc. Honestly it's all a mish mash it's not orderly. Could anyone help me how a roadmap would look as a sole practitioner? Which book should I start, which practice I should take first?

I have this idea; first I should start learning meditation and at least master the basics of meditation. And start learning visualizations. My candidate is Franz Bardon in this case. I'm thinking of going with Bardon till stage 5 in his book IIH, then start with Lyam Christopher or Cicero books. How's that sound?

Thank you so very much.
