Unresponsive sellers

Sellers who do not respond to reasonable offers suck ($5 less than asking price). Sellers who do not answer buyer questions about their products (I.e dimensions, color confirmation, .etc) also suck. That’s all. Thx for coming to my Ted Talk.

Daughters’ shamed my phone crossbody!

I am not into purses so I wear a functional brown faux leather crossbody that has a magnet for my cell & an area for credit cards. My daughters were visiting and were immediately abhorred! Not only did they say it was ugly & aged me, but they questioned why didn’t I just buy a real crossbody instead of a phone holder? After getting out of my feelings, I realized they are probably right. So I bought two: one fun floral one (Marc Jacobs) that I plan to bring on vacay & one formal one (Anne Klein) They both fit my personality. How did I do?

Bring on Maxx Crosby

Lifelong 49er fan born & raised in the Bay Area so I’m going to share my opinion. After all of Bosa’s antics & history, he’s a cancer and an ongoing distraction for our team. If the 49er organization aren’t willing to get rid of him…they are complicit. If all that matters is financials due to Bosa’s contract…bring on Maxx Crosby. He’ll be an asset to the team ON and OFF the field. Bosa is the worst type of liability, one who thinks he’s untouchable while causing chaos. He’s got to go.

Shopped till I dropped

I’m a librarian who fell in love with HP 25 yrs ago when my then 5 yr old daughter requested I read Philosopher’s Stone (Stationed in England & had the British version). It took me 16 yrs to finally make it to the Wizarding World of HP! After shedding tears at how legitimately accurate & beautiful everything looked at all 3 parks, I had a ball running around like a kid! Literally, I walked 18,000+ steps on the 1st day & stopped counting on the other two days! I WAS EVEN CHOSEN IN OLLIVANDERS!!!!!! BIG THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anywhoo…I wanted to share some things about shopping that may help someone. I brought an empty suitcase just for HP souvenirs. Two services came in clutch:

Having stores send items to my room where I quickly filled up the suitcase I brought. All items arrived early!

Having stores send items via FedEx. They will ask when you’ll be back home and arrange for the items to arrive after you return home. This was fabulous as I immediately went in a long cruise after my Universal trip. Again, all items arrived in perfect condition!

Thank you so muchto this community & to Universal for helping me fulfill a bucket list item!

ETA: The formatting kept messing up! Had to fix. Ugh.

Disembarked the Vista today

Pros: Great 8 day itinerary! Enjoyed the 3 port days in a row and the back to back sea days!

The 80’s rock party was so much fun! The cruise director, Tyler, has a ton of energy & this party was the highlight of our cruise!

Specialty dining, particularly Cocina & JiJi’s at dinner were amazing. Our servers (Patience & Dewi) were attentive & personable & the food was amazing! The steakhouse was perfect (as usual) for our first night. First time at The Chef’s Table and it was amazing! My picky husband ate EVERYTHING! And the Sous Chef Candice & her staff were outstanding!

Amber cove: Loved our personal driver & the cultural tour he provided. Did not enjoy the ghetto (run down, dirty, & questionable services) masseuse he took us to instead of the 3 spas I asked for.

Puerto Rico: Had a fabulous time at the Bacardi factory and our mixology class!

St. Thomas: Went to Secret Harbour, which was an amazing beach & bar with clean restrooms!

Celebration Key-Paradise Cove all inclusive: FABULOUS! Particularly the piña colada’s & the grilled fish!

4th of July: The ship gathering & fireworks were AWESOME!!! It was especially fun to see everyone dressed in red, white & blue! The guests &!their positivity on this ship were absolutely 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽!

Cons: It was apparent our room was rushed for the turnover. Bed had to be remade due to someone’s hair on the bed. Neither drawer worked under the couch. One drawer had a previous guest’s dirty socks. The black rubber between the shared balcony door was warped and had to be duct taped so we didn’t have to continue to see the naked lady next door sunbathing (in port at St Thomas).

Spa: We purchased the thermal spa passes for the week. The 1st night we got into the whirlpool and didn’t see the hidden sign that said too much chlorine and it was closed. Another guest saw us and kindly pointed it out. Had to jump out and shower immediately! 1/2 the heated loungers didn’t work. We told the spa desk and they acted like it was no big deal and didn’t offer any solution.

We complained to guest services about all of these problems. They sent a bottle of wine with an apology but it left a bad taste for the start of a cruise.

Overall: 7/10. We’ve learned that we prefer the service & attention to detail on smaller ships. The Vista employees seemed tired and service was very slow and lacking, particularly in the MDR. No waiters danced & wasn’t offered any refills but noticed if you were sitting in the aisle seats, they were more attentive.

Also, for the 1st time in my cruising experiences, the Indian entree was terrible. It wasn’t served in the multi-silver metal platter or containers and consisted of only three items: cracker, rice, curry. It was missing the yoghurt raita, aloo masala, .etc.

We have an 8 day cruise on the Magic heading to the ABC islands reserved for next summer. We are considering cancelling and trying a different cruise line…but are letting the dust settle before we decide.

Rides that require knees to bend more than 100 degrees?

Hi 👋🏽 Pls bear with me as I have a very specific question & couldn’t locate an answer.

I had my left knee replaced two years ago. Leg & Knee is stronger than ever! But that knee bends about 100 degrees before discomfort…typical of total knee replacements. Are there rides that require knees to bend more than that? Thx! I’m very excited & am trying to be as prepared as possible for my trip next month!

ETA: Thank you everyone for the quick responses! This community is awesome! I will definitely check the test seats at the rides you mentioned 👍🏽
