Your opinion on my lip mapping for DIY lip tattoo

Hi friends
I’m planning to do lip blushing for myself at home and I was experimenting with mapping
My lips are asymmetrical and without a sharp defined lip line
The more I look at it the harder it is to tell if I’m on the right path

Here’s my photos before and after mapping

I’m ready to hear all your advice and criticisms

Help a sis, This’s a Tricky one

Unilateral lower eyelid swelling looking for a diagnosis

I’m 28 and generally healthy. I had cheek filler done about 3 months ago (2 ml total in the cheeks). I never had any major issues afterward at all (filler was not even around my eyelids or near my eyes)

Yesterday I noticed mild swelling under one eye, and today I woke up with more noticeable swelling of the lower eyelid and a litt bit of the upper eyelid and upper cheek area on the same side.

There is no redness, warmth, discharge, vision changes, or eye pain.

I do feel some mild muscle soreness in the cheek when I move my facial muscles (smiling or moving the cheek), but no sinus symptoms or cold symptoms.

The swelling is not near the eyelashes and there is no visible lump or bump … it feels more like puffiness in the lower eyelid/upper cheek area.

Has anyone experienced one-sided under-eye swelling months after cheek filler? Did it resolve on its own, and did you need to dissolve the filler or did it improve with time?

I also woke up on the side of the swelling maybe I mechanically irritated my face but still I don’t think this should happen

I’m sorry if the photos are disturbing & thank uu

Sharing my mistakes so you learn from them too

Hi,

Background :

I don’t really have terrible skin or anything I just want rejuvenation

I used to do MN with derma roller that has real needles and I used 1.5mm on my face casually
———————-
I upgraded to Dr.Pen M8s with 16-needle cartridge

My first use was dry microneedling on clean skin just experimenting

Speed 1 and depth was 0.25-0.5mm on my under eye area & 1mm on the rest of my face
I went couple times on my under eye area because this area bothers me the most

>!All fun and games until!<

3 days after : I started to get swelling & bruise-like pain (with no bruising)on my left side of the face, majorly cheekbone area(I did not MN there)
The next day swelling went to my under eye area without any pain at all just me looking like I have allergic reaction in one eye(the eye wasn’t red or has any sign of infection)
It wore off in 3 days and I was normal again until ….

10 days after microneedling I was already super normal but I smashed my face againt the pillow (right cheek) for a short time (this is the only thing that happened to my cheek that day)

And I woke up with very sore cheekbone (right side) that lasted for a day, >!((same thing, I did not MN right on the cheeckbone but the bruising pain and swelling was present and originated there!<)
Second day the swelling went to my under eye area without any pain
no pain & no other symptoms,
third day swelling spread to my upper eyelid
Today is the 4th day

No similar experience seem to be on reddit so I’m honored to be your lab rat

The takeaway:

My mistakes were :
1- going too close to the under eye area for the first time with Dr.pen, it’s different from derma roller (more intense)

2- thinking Ill get better results with more depth & going for 0.5mm under my eye back & forth

3- I did mistakes my skin did handle until I mechanically treated my skin roughly that’s were I got the second round of swelling (be gentle with ur skin even 2 weeks after MN)

4- not thinking before doing which is personal

How did I treat my skin when the disaster happened:

First time swelling : I did nothing I thought it was normal to get asymmetrical edema so it self resolved

Second time swelling: here’s where I panicked cuz I didn’t link it to MN so I took antihistamine orally (did not work) then I applied cold compress & hydrocortisone cream (only once as a test but I didn’t want to do it more)

I still have a little swelling but it’s now 90% better
