People who say that someone is "terminally online" or "has no life" even if the activity that they're referring to does not require you to be online that much

I feel like the terms have lost their meaning over the years, especially here on Reddit

Like, previously saying that someone has no life or is terminally online actually meant that they are online all day on a specific site or game

nowadays though people will say that you have no life cuz you spent 5 minutes arguing on Reddit

and you've got people thinking that they're "no lifing" a game cuz they're spending like 10 hours a week on it. I mean I would call that being fairly active in that game but that is NOT no lifing lol

I've unironically seen someone think that making an average of 3 Reddit posts a day counts as being "terminally online". That is NOT "terminally online" lol. Elon makes an average of 68 tweets a day, now THAT is what you call terminally online.

I swear people just use these terms to show their nonexistent moral superiority over people who are slightly more active on Reddit than them

Suggestion for mods: Add "is X and Y a bad age gap" and/or any polls about misandry and misogyny to the list of poll formats that are either limited in how often you can make polls about them or just banned altogether as a part of rule 4

Seriously I'm getting tired of these two types of polls being posted 50000 times a day

We need to bring back something that's been proven to make children worse cuz of that one kid I saw in a tiktok. Boom, 9.4K upvotes and 15 awards!

Seriously man, people glorifying child abuse in 2026?
