How is left-unity with "bürgerliche linke" (no idea how to translate this correctly i guess "the leftwing of civil society" is a good enough translation) even possible in Europe anymore, when most social democrats and liberals have essentially turned into mini George W. Bushes? Look at the german Green Party, the war in Ukraine has transformed them into some of the most loyal, fervent patriots in the country. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone more convinced of Western exceptionalism, of "our values" and the need for re-armament than a Green party member. This shift toward militarism and nationalism is a transformation we're seeing across the entire mainstream center left throughout Germany and Europe.

Look at the language that they use. If you stumble across a european online ranting about "our superior values", framing geopolitics as a conflict between good and evil, or unironically using terms like "Russian orc," you aren't looking at a far-right nationalist but a socdem.

There is no leftwing unity to be had with them.

Why do Libs demand a literal uprising from people living under foreign dictators but never applying that same moral crusade to themselves while believing their domestic rightwing leader is literally Hitler.
