Rebooking test?

Failed today from a stupid error from myself (pedestrian walked out into junction I was pulling into and I didn’t stop fast enough.) Apart from that the drive went pretty much perfect so I’m feeling honestly pretty devastated.

My question is, how bad is rebooking a test actually going to be? It took me around 2 months to book my test for today (booked in March) which I’m aware isn’t bad going. I’m moving away in around 7 months, will be skint and back to working full time, and I’m honestly considering packing it in for now. I currently can’t see any test dates whatsoever as expected but I can’t afford to be booking 8 months in advance.

It’s really frustrating for me at the moment as I can drive, obviously made a stupid mistake today but I’m losing hope tbh that I’m going to get through my test this year.

I hate driving

I just absolutely hate it. I’ve been learning since March and my test is next week which I am dreading. Since I started learning most of my weeks include dreading the upcoming lesson, losing sleep the night beforehand and then feeling extremely unwell on the day. It’s been the most hellish 6 months. I have no idea what it is about it that I hate - I have a great instructor, I can actually drive fine and it came to me faster than I’d thought it would.

Coming from a family who all love driving however, they are finding it very difficult to comprehend I don’t like cars. I get told “you build confidence with experience” but I can’t actually fathom ever getting back behind the wheel after my test by choice. The only thing I’m looking forward to if I pass is not having to continue with lessons and being able to sack the whole thing off which is a shame because I wish I could be buzzing to get driving by myself.

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

Kiko lipgloss

Have just bought the kiko double wear lipgloss after seeing so many good reviews however i’m now really disappointed. It seems to apply super streaky and almost chunky? No amount looks good and I’m wondering if I’m doing something very wrong?

Having children with endo

People who struggle with fertility with endo, what advice would you give? I’m 19 and strongly suspect I have endometriosis. Have had very heavy painful periods etc, been in urgent care a few times for severe pain and have spent the last 6 years anaemic. I have been on the urgent list for a laparoscopy for two years now but with the current state of the nhs I don’t suspect answers anytime soon.

The bottom line is I want children in my 20s. My gynaecologist strongly suspects I will have some fertility issues (she did explain why but the whole thing went over my head as I was 15 at the time and it wasn’t my priority). A friend of mine with stage four endo were told they would have to have children in their early 20s as it would become increasingly difficult as time went on. Fortunately she managed to have a baby at around 22 but has not been able to fall pregnant again. My head is scrambled at the moment as I have always thought of myself as a career woman - finish my course and travel around before settling down in my 30s and having children. Now I’ve been thrown a potential curveball I’m considering doing things backwards - having children in early 20s and living a full life when they are grown.

I assume people have been in the same boat, so really just any support would be appreciated. It’s been upsetting me a lot lately and the fact I have no answers set in stone makes it worse. Please also don’t comment how I’m too young to be worrying about this (I have heard it plentifully from doctors). I just want to be a mum one day.

I am extremely depressed

I have finally faced the facts and am trying to accept that I am in fact depressed, and have been for some time.

I feel like I’m doing my days on autopilot. I have a job, am on a full time course and am due to pass my driving test hopefully soon. I have little reason of being at an all time low. I am on the verge of quitting my course and pulling something stupid because I care so little about anything. From the minute I wake up in the morning I can’t wait for when it’s time go back to bed again. When I hit my lowest point before I still cared very much about my appearance, what people thought of me and how I came across etc. It worries me because at the moment I couldn’t care less about anything of this.

My course has no job prospects (stupid to study it in the first place I know) and I cannot fathom actually staying in my current job of hospitality forever.

Does it actually ever get better or is this just a constant rat race?

Is there much point pursuing this dream?

I want to work in the film industry in hair and makeup and am about to enter my second and final year of studying it. Please be brutally honest and tell me if it is worth pursuing as a career. I am based in Scotland so the opportunities are already pretty dire and I can’t even get any unpaid work experience. The stories I have heard of people in the industry is that the hours are long, the pay is crap and it’s an endless rat race. I am beginning to wonder if I should pack this dream in and start thinking realistically.

I know it’s not a glamorous career, I know it’s going to be hard work for a long time but I can’t even get my foot in and try and start at the bottom. Do I just keep on at my hospitality job instead?

I know booking a practical test is a bit of a nightmare at the moment so I was wondering if there’s any particularly good times to go on and check? I’ve heard very early monday morning is a shout although the chances are very low. I have a good idea when I’d like to book it so just any tips?
