Por eso, desde la Fundación Aliadas por la Vida, hacemos un llamado a la empatía y la acción.

Estamos recolectando alimentos no perecederos, cobijas, ropa en buen estado, elementos de aseo y agua potable para apoyar a quienes más lo necesitan en Usme – Santa Librada.

My name is Maria, and I am the founder of Fruta del Sol, a small Colombian food entrepreneurship project with a bigger purpose.

We want to grow Fruta del Sol into a community initiative that combines:

🍎 Food waste reduction

🌱 Urban gardens & agroecology

🎓 Education for young people

💼 Employment and income opportunities

♻️ Organic waste recovery and composting

🤝 Community development

Many fruits and vegetables are discarded simply because they are too ripe or cannot be sold in time. We want to give suitable food a second chance by transforming it into products with value, while finding responsible ways to turn organic residues into compost and other useful resources.

Our long-term dream is to create a circular model where food can be transformed, organic waste can return to the soil, urban gardens can become learning spaces, and young people and communities can gain new opportunities.

🌞 Fruta del Sol has already started — now we need support to take the next step.

We have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help us strengthen our production, develop urban gardening and educational projects, and create more opportunities within our community.
