Just had a random thought literally like 30 seconds ago, figured I'd ask reddit. I had a box of .22lr tracer rounds from piney mountain. They were a ton of fun. Recently I've dove deep into the rabbit hole of black powder muzzleloaders and I love it. Was curious though, has anyone made a black powder tracer round for a muzzleloader before? Or at least played around with trying to make one?
Was curious if anyone else has done this. I drink through the week after work. Sometimes a little, sometimes I get hammered. I used to drink on weekends. Recently situations have developed where I don't drink at all on weekends. I used to always get hammered on the weekend. I also am always alone when I drink and do all I can to avoid people. I got a phone call this previous weekend and kind of subconsciously thought "Man I'm off work, I'm not in a state to talk with anyone right now." I forgot I was sober and was used to ignoring calls after I started drinking because I know I can not articulate anything worth a dam. Then I remembered I was sober and it was the weirdest feeling to push past that reflex to ignore the call and answer. I was also trying very hard to concentrate on pronouncing words slowly and correctly just from reflex and finding it felt really strange to be able to easily form words.
Hello brothers and sisters. I hope you all are having a wonderful evening or morning depending on what side of the globe you're on. I was curious about something, one of those random thoughts. I have a .32 squirrel gun that I really like a lot. I got it a few months back and have shot it a bunch. I've killed a few backyard pests with it and had a ton of fun with it. It shoots .310 patched balls. I was curious if there are any pistols chambered in that size too. Has anyone ever heard of that either in percussion or flint lock?

Got a question about tridium graphics and file paths. So the issue I have is between having graphics elements reference a file vs the module in the station. For example using either of these two file paths. The module one having put the module in the Jace and the file one not having the module in the Jace.

The problem I have is that in larger stations using the file option makes the station huge and unwieldy. I really don't like that. I prefer the module reference because it is a lot cleaner in my opinion. I also only use the standard tridium modules for graphics, no custom stuff other then a few pictures for floor plans normally.

When I use the module option though, none of my graphics show up in a web browser. Only the ones that are referenced through the files show up in a web browser.

If there is a super smart tridium guy that comes across this: How do you have a graphic reference the module and not the files in the station and show up in a web browser?

Hey, without to much detail, who has had to fight this fight: You have to maintain a semi-large tridium site. A little more then 400 Jaces. Tridium moves on in time from R2 to AX to Jace 8000 N4 to Jace 9000 N4, and says "Everyone get ready for N5! It is the future and we are moving on from N4!" Problem is when I inherited the site it still has enough R2 and AX worth noting and a bunch of Jace 8000s running everything from 4.3 to 4.15. The people with the money are not the people who maintain the BMS system but are the ones who have to fund it. You are in meeting after meeting telling them they need to upgrade everything, but it feels like you might as well be speaking English to a Sentinelese tribe and trying to explain the wonders of the world and why they need to spend their money on it.
Hey, I have a lot of experience with Tridium and Distech, but I was trying to find some free or very cheap software to just play around with. Stuff kind of like the Bravo Controls T3000 software. I want to be able to pull in Modbus IO data, write logic in software with the data, and be able to make graphics with it. It is not to solve any real problem beyond just my curiosity and wanting to learn cool new things. I know I could do that in Tridium in about 5 minutes, but I was curious if there was anything out there with that kind of capability for free or very cheap I could play around with.
Hello everybody! I have a bunch of black powder cap and ball guns, rifles shotgun, and pistols. They are tons of fun to shoot. I was thinking about getting some flintlock stuff too. I've never owned or shot a flintlock. I know it needs to have FFFF powder for the pan. If I plan on getting into flintlocks and already have a bunch of cap and ball stuff, what would be the cheapest way to start and what additional things would I need? Like would I want to get extra flints? How long does a flint last? Are flints hard to find or expensive? It seems like the flints are wrapped in a piece of what looks like leather. Would I need a few spare pieces of that? I am good with getting any type gun. I just shoot for fun. What would be the best budget friendly rifle/pistol/shotgun to look for? I am also not opposed to kits. I got a kit .50 rifle once just because it was cheaper. That turned out to actually be kinda fun to stain and treat the stock and put together.
Just curious, is it normal to work with tridium everyday for years and find yourself in the habbit of always naming every file on your computer with an underscore or hyphen and never using space or starting with a number even if it has nothing to do with tridium. Like you never name word or excell doc with spaces? Something like making an excel doc called Project_XXXX_Hydronic_Plant_Points without considering that most people would use spaces until someone asks you why you are using underscores.

Has anyone ever gotten a .44 screw barrel pistol and thought, I wonder what threads those are? Gotten a thread measuring kit and found out they are M14x1.5 threads. And then proceeded to buy gas fittings of that thread size and day dream about launching random large things, like say 4th of July smoke bombs across the yard?
I have a question for anyone more savvy in niagara than me. I have a station in a jace. I have a supervisor that I am pushing info from the jace up to. I have an issue where I create graphics at the jace level, have a folder under a lon network that has an attached graphic. When I push up the graphic through virtuals it strips out the .png floor plan image at the supervisor level. I have messed with it before and gotten it to work on other stations, but I couldn't exactly remember how I did it. Both the jace and supervisor are 4.15.
I have discovered something new, at least new to me. I'm a guy, white, with very curly hair. I am kinda lazy in not wanting to get haircuts. I have always had my hair short for my about 30 years on this planet. I have decided for the first time to let my hair grow out. It always looks horrible unless I put a gel in it that makes it like concrete or greasier than a Domino's pepperoni pizza. I have discovered something slightly unconventional that is actually working quite well. Super cheap conditioner from Walmart. The $2.00 a bottle cheap. I used it before in the shower and I liked what it did to my hair but the effects seemed to last only for a couple of hours. Now I have started using it almost as a hair gel. I wet my hair in the morning with a little water and rub in a small amount of the conditioner. It has made a world of difference. If I comb my hair in a direction it stays! It doesn't dry out in 2 hours and turn into curl city! I am not using it according to the directions which want me to apply it and wash it out in the shower at the same time but it is making my hair do what I want. I dunno, is this bad or good long term? I am excited I found something that works.
Hello. I have a 2023 ford maverick. I am having cross system traffic and blind spot system faults pop up when I turn on my truck. My Climate control system also stopped working. Has anyone else had these issues or know a simple solution, or do I have to take it to the dealership? It is out of warranty so I will have to pay for the repairs. The battery has 12.5V. I disconnected the battery and plan on reconnecting it in a few hours to let the truck do a hard reset.

I tried to escape you bastards, but life happened. I haven't had anything since January. My girl hates alcohol. I made a choice, but that choice wasn't as sure as I thought it would be. It started about 3/4 of the way through last month. A few white claws couldn't hurt. Then maybe some Jack. It's like 40 proof, that's light weight stuff. Now I'm halfway through a bottle of everclear. What happened. Is it bad that I am spelling things right after 2 everclear teas? I got a bottle of 190 proof on Saturday. It's halfway gone now and I will need another bottle in one or two days. What is wrong with me. I hate but love this stuff so much.
