My wife is trying to learn German and I'm trying to relearn it, so I help her when I can...

This evening she calls out to me from another room: "How do you pronounce a 'W' in German?"

Me: "It's pronounced like a 'V'."

Her: "So, how do you pronounce a 'V' in German?"

Me: "It's pronounced like an 'F'."

Her: "Okay, so how do you pronounce an 'F' in German?"

Me: "It's also an 'F'."

Her: "Any reason why?"

Me: "Perhaps in the distant past they were pronounced just like we do in English. It probably changed over time when they all started speaking with German accents."

WTF is wrong with my K2 Plus?

I'm printing the same cable clips on my CR-10 Smart and my K2 Plus simultaneously. I didn't notice it at first, but the CR-10 time estimate was 2.75 hours, the K2 Plus time estimate was almost 3 hours.

Normally my K2 plus would be between 5 and 10 times faster than the CR-10 Smart but this is 40+ minutes into the print and it's only about 80% finished THE FIRST LAYER. It looks like it prints the mouse ears then moves back and goes through the filament swap process (without swapping anything), sits idle for a minute, returns to where it left off, prints part of a clip, moves back again for another (imaginary) filament swap, sits idle again, and then repeats. But there's no filament swapping going on, it's all the same filament, all from the same spool, and all from the same CFS.

I live in Canada and all my airguns are replicas. You can't really do much plinking in winter but I recently discovered that a cultural association I'm in has (or had) a shooting club and range. I thought this might offer an opportunity to do winter plinking. So, I asked about it at the latest AGM and ended up getting appointed the new shooting club president (the previous people in charge passed away right after COVID). I was shown around and then handed the keys.

Anyway, I know next to nothing about this except that it feels expensive. I'm guessing it's at least 36 years old since it has "Made in West Germany" stamped on it. Some of the other rifles belonging to the range look similar to this. Others not so much (there's 3× Stoeger X5s c/w 4×32 scopes).

Is the Diana as nice as it seems?
