Haven’t grown out the beard in a while, and it’s way whiter than I remember! I’m 46, was just wondering if this makes me look way older or looks ok. I’m thinking about growing it out for a bit.
In speaking to my new director today, he was relieved that I thought it was just expected that I would do a pbsp once I complete an FBA. I asked him why the relief, he told me the Bcba from a very well known company that they had last year would do the FBA’s, but would only do a pbsp if the school paid an additional charge! Anyone else heard of something like this? Sounds crazy to me.
About 30/40 pages in and not feeling it. Tell me I need to go on!
I love the live 2 so much, I finally found a machine I really want to dig in and learn and commit to. I also have a TR8s that I had prior to the live 2. I haven’t spent much time with it yet. Is it worth digging into that as well and use them together? I’m not sure if that would be a value add or not. Any opinions would be helpful. I make different kinds of music so please don’t worry about specific genres, just whether it’s worth it to use them together. Thank you!
I finished Sirens the other day and since then, I’ve read the final pages over and over and actually, I got goosebumps just now thinking about it! Don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t read it but man, what a wonderful book!! Many authors have danced around what he was talking about, and I love him for just putting his version out there!
once we get the chance to try and put ourselves back together, a very relevant slogan for that endeavor is to make America great again… It would finally actually mean something.
I think what bugs me the most about being a Bcba is that no matter how much we know, how good we are with kids, communicating with staff and families, our ultimate success, if we measure that by progress by whether our kids make on whatever we try to put in place, ultimately depends entirely on the performance of others. Understood that it’s our job to do things such as training/educating/modeling, etc., it’s still very much out of our hands. I find that to be frustrating.
If I have a track on sequence one in which I have a sample chopped up and in use, if I copy the sequence to make a new sequence, can I use the same sample without affecting how it’s used in sequence one?
Once I got the Live 2, making sampled music finally clicked. I am wondering how much time some spend just listening to new music/chopping and storing them. Do you ever just have sessions where your main goal is to seek out specific sounds? If this is all obvious I apologize- I’m really interested in this process
Been on a painting rip for awhile, but was recently given this to refinish so I jumped in. I really forgot just what an undertaking these projects can be. Many more problems to solve than I anticipated and it took way longer to complete since I work full time. But I also forgot about the feeling of pride that comes over you when you overcome everything, learn a bunch of new skills, maybe now own at least one more useful piece of equipment, and you deliver a really good product, and experience joy when the customer loves it. There are so many great reasons to engage in this craft! Love this community👍
What are some forwards that have stayed with you are that you really enjoyed?
For me, the forward to Pale Fire is such an enjoyable read! It’s something I come back to frequently and thoroughly enjoy each time. Dr. Kimbote is such a great character.
