I've been bringing my son outside a bit more because of the nice weather and attempting some garden work. He's usually in his activity table or I'm holding him but my neighbor has been coming out to catch me with my hands full and talking my ear off. She always talks to the baby and I just know she's gonna ask to hold him so I wanna be ready to say no. What are some of your go to lines to acquaintances and strangers?

How do you take the nipple out of their mouth after they fall asleep? Because currently I'm going on my third attempt of pulling out and he keeps snatching my nipple back to continue nursing. I need to go finish cooking rn. 😭

As a parent who used to be that "trouble maker" in class, I want to know now how can a teacher help a student who is crying out for help in ways that may seem like they're just "misbehaving" I lost my mom at 14 and then moved into an abusive household. I was THE bad kid at school. Teachers hated me and the principal even threatened me once that a group of girls were going to get me. Looking back now, if I witnessed that kind of behavior from a child, I would do anything in my power to help them and I feel almost resentful towards the adults that let me down as a child.

I live in a duplex in a fairly nice quiet neighborhood with a shared back porch. Our neighboring houses and duplexes are spread out a pretty good distance so I'm rarely bothered by other neighbors. For background my duplex neighbor and I have a past, we were neighborly "friends" for a while, then her 40yr old son paroled out to her apartment and things got heated (my young children involved), now we do not speak. Every time I come out to the porch she opens her door and watches me sometimes whispering to herself. When I look at her she steps back into the doorway and tries to peep at me from around the corner. Technically she's not hurting me but it really drives me nuts.
