What should I do to my room?

The first picture here is my room at my new apartment, the second picture is the floor layout (closet & bathroom are to the right wall, door is on the bottom wall). The rest of the pictures are my favorite rooms off my Pinterest board. I can't change the flooring or the paint, I can mount things, but nothing crazy because I have to fix any holes. I'm not buying a new bed (I know, my full size looks small in this room but I'm poor). What can I do for my room to make it feel more homey and full? Thinking area rugs (yes, rugs over carpet, I know!), wall decor that fits the aesthetic, ambient lighting (hate overhead), moving my furniture around, etc. All ideas are welcome! Also keep in mind I'm primarily running off cheap items and facebook marketplace, but am willing to spend money on decor.

All advice welcomed PLEASE

Hi, I've been fake tanning for about 7 years (started in middle school with badly applied tanning lotion and now just use foaming tan). I've gotten a slight hang of things, but could use more advice. My tan often comes off splotchy, usually starting on the inside of my elbow, then my chest area between my breasts, so on so forth.

I currently use Tanologist Dark shade. I'm pale but not see through, and I can never tell what my undertone is so I think I'm neutral toned. My routine is semi-regular, I usually wait until my tan is completely gone before I reapply, but then that leaves me pale for longer than I'd like to be. My steps for tan days look like this:

  1. long shower or bath, exfoliate, then scrub again with body wash and a loofah
  2. dry off and immediately apply moisturizer
  3. wait at least 30 mins (sometimes an hour depending on how distracted I get) and then tan all over with a mit
  4. I usually spray the back of my knees, the inside of my elbows, and my armpits with spray deoderant to prevent sticking + sweating, right after I tan
  5. I wash the tan off between 3 and 8 hours after application in the shower, just using dove soap with my hands in smellier areas
  6. I don't exfoliate or use body wash after tanning until the tan stops fading and i want it off, or if it gets splotchy in areas. I DO moisturize after every shower, tan or not

I'm looking for advice on ways to improve my routine, or the products I use. Things like correct foams for my undertone, changes I should make in my routine, or products to use while it marinates. Any advice is welcome!!
