"I was born into a traditional Gaudiya Vaishnava family. Later, a local temple president manipulated my parents into joining ISKCON. They became dedicated disciples of Jayapataka Swami.

I recently made some posts about my situation, but I never introduced myself or revealed my identity.

Now, my parents force me to go to the temple. The temple president is very rude and arrogant. He treats people like his personal servants. When I was younger, they tried to send me to a boarding school (gurukul) in Mayapur. It did not happen, but I remember my mom crying when they rejected me. Looking back, I am glad I did not go.

Recently, I researched ISKCON's history. I read about the controversies involving Prabhupada, Keith Ham (New Vrindaban), Lokanath Swami, and Bhakti Vidya Purna Swami.

When I told my parents, they got very angry. They argued and said that God would never allow those things to happen. Now, they are threatening to call the police if I keep talking about it. I feel trapped and I need help."

I’ve been reviewing the arguments regarding the use of sea pens for cetaceans (Killer whales), and I know this group has some reservations, so I would really like to understand your perspective better. Despite sea pens often being presented as a more humane alternative to concrete tanks—offering natural seawater, currents, and more space—what are the specific reasons you remain against them? For instance, are you concerned that these enclosures still limit the animals' natural, wide-ranging behaviors, or do you feel that issues like exposure to water pollution, high tourist traffic, noise disruption, and the risk of extreme weather damage still make them too detrimental to welfare? I’m interested in whether you view them as a step forward or just another form of confinement that keeps these intelligent animals in a "life sentence" rather than allowing for true freedom.

🚫 The Prohibition of Sannyasa

The Brihan-naradiya Purana and Caitanya-caritamrita (Adi 17.164) explicitly forbid formal sannyasa in Kaliyuga.

• Authorized Styles: Only Brahmacari, detached Grihastha, or Babaji lifestyles are valid.
• The Evidence: The highest realizations of the Six Goswamis and later saints like Jagannath das Babaji were achieved in white cloth, proving saffron sannyasa is unnecessary.

🧬 Traditional Parivars (Lineages)

Authenticity is strictly tied to the 64 Gaudiya Parivars.

• Mandatory Obedience: One must be linked to these specific, traditional families to be considered bonafide.
• No Deviations: Departing from these established lines is a direct violation of Vaishnava tradition.

📍 The Geography of Nabadwip

The locations currently popularised by modern institutions are geographically incorrect based on traditional records.

• True Birthplace: Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was born in Prachin (Old) Mayapur, located on the opposite side of the Ganges from the modern site.
• Srivas Angan: The authentic site of Mahaprabhu’s intimate kirtans is also in Old Nabadwip, not the modern commercial development.

🔗 Historical Lineage Independence

The "homogenous parampara" model is historically inaccurate.

• Separate Lines: Srila Gaur Kishor das Babaji (Advaita Parivar) and Jagannath das Babaji (Nityananda Parivar) belonged to distinct, separate lineages.
• Independent Records: Traditional parivar records show these lines are separate and cannot be forced into a single institutional chain.
