Not finding much info on what to replace in my REAR suspension. Also looking for parts list critiques.

To cut to the chase:
02-type S, original suspension, creaking, and I want to replace as much as possible at once. It is my daily, and I want to do it once, do it right, but on a reasonable budget.

Parts list after reading many write-ups:
- Progress CS3 Coilovers
- MOOG Front Control arms: (RK640287, RK6040288)
- MOOG Ball Joints (K90493)
- MOOG Adjustable Rear Camber Arm (RK90351 * 2)
- MOOG Tie Rod Ends (ES80995 *2)
- PCI Steering Rack Slider

Seeing as the CS3's are supposedly built so that "tie-rod locations have been modified for bump steer", I would assume I don't need a rack riser or extended ball joints? Found a lot of conflicting information there.

All those parts are also for the front suspension. What do I need for the rear? Can I get by with the Hardrace lower control arm kit? Will having poly bushings in the back and rubber bushings in the front cause any issues?

Will a Slide Hammer/Glue Kit Have enough oomph to Pull The Quarte panel back in-line with the bumper (I will be stripping paint/getting rid of rust first).

The last owner got sideswiped. I replaced the bumper, but the quarter panel is still recessed. I will be sanding down and getting rid of all the rust. I have access to a garage in a few weeks and wanted to figure out what tools I should buy.

What are all the reputable avenues for body kits/aftermarket bumpers and fenders in 2026?

Mainly asking about this because I have been unable to find any sort of write up that isn't from 10+ years ago. It seems like most of the websites, rep companies, and avenues of acquiring both OEM and aftermarket exterior parts has shrunken vastly (Which makes sense). Therefore I hope this post helps aggregate all of places you can still get parts.

For OEM Parts:

  • Front Bumper: Acurapartswharehouse.com has the OEM front bumper cover for 475$. Be prepared to pay half of that (at least) fro shipping
  • Rear Bumper: Acurapartswharehouse.com again has that in stock for 565$.
  • Fenders: Best bet for these is FB marketplace/local forums, then the junkyard. Some importers may be able to get OEM fenders from japan but they will be $500+ easily.
  • Door Panels: Same Deal as fenders, mostly discontinued
  • Lips and Skirts: Again, FB marketplace or Junkyards

If anyone has a list of Good reps for OEM parts, feel free to comment below. A lot of people mentioned DC5association as I looked through forums but it looks like their website has gone down?

Aftermarket:
I am actually really lost here in terms of what is reputable and what is not. Off the top of my head I know the most popular kits included the C-west kit, Mugen, Maxracing, and ING.

I know some importers can get the C-west and the INGs kits (or parts of it) for a pretty hefty sum.

In the states the only rep company that I was able to find a decent amount of trust in was VIS racing which does still seem to have stock these days. That being said a few of their reps look straight out of the backrooms.

Should I scuff up or completely sand down previous owners paint job before repainting?

I have seen a couple different guides on how to paint over wheels but most of them start from the OEM paint. These wheels have been painted over by the previous owner and I am trying to figure out if I should:
a) Scuff up this black paint and primer over it
b) Sand the black paint off until down to whats left of the OEM coat and scuff + primer over that
c) Sand down to bare metal and primer from there

also any reccomendations for primer/clear coat are welcome. I know a lot of people use 2k clear but im ns about primer (dont think there is any deep curb rash on any of the wheels)

these are the 17" wheels off a 2005 Acura RSX for reference, I believe they are aluminum alloy.

Getting new wheels: OEM 17” 5 spokes or go aftermarket?

Want to get some 17” wheels on my rsx and I found a decent deal on the OEM 05-06 17x7 5-spoke wheels (Just under 500$) on my local FB marketplace.

I see a lot of recommendations for 17x7.5 or 17x8 wheels for the RSX and the OEM wheels are a 21ibs each(4-5ibs more than the stock 16”s, but fairly on par with aftermarket 17” options).

I know this mostly comes down to opinion but is it worth springing for the OEM 17” wheels at that price or would I be happier saving up for some lighter, wider wheels?

The car is a daily for now but would eventually like to track it on occasion.

Any Tips/Tricks for Sound Deadening the Rear/Hatch Area?

From what I have gathered on this sub/CRSX, I will be buying 36 sqft of 80mil Killmat and 150mil closed cell foam to get started (I will just be doing the trunk/under passenger seats for now).

Am I correct in gathering that most of my initial attention should be on the wheel wells, then the quarter panels, then under the passenger seat, and if I have extra, going over the OEM sound deadener?

Most of the posts I am seeing on the topic are super general, super old, or both. Was wondering if anyone has had any real success hitting specific parts of the trunk over others.
